Due to our recent projects’ expansion a Network Administrator (night shift from 10pm to 5am) is required. We are an online services company looking for an efficient, reliable Network Administrator to join our network operations team. You will monitor our systems and servers to ensure the network is consistently available to all our staff, clients, and customers and to troubleshoot any issue that may cause a disruption in service.
The required candidate should do the following:
- Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade company networks and in-house servers
- Install and integrate new server hardware and applications
- Keep an eye out for needed updates
- Support and administer third-party applications
- Ensure network security and connectivity
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords
- Resolve problems reported by end user
- Define network policies and procedures
- Specify system requirements and design solutions
- Research and make recommendations on server system administration
- Backup & Restore SQL server
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 5+ years’ experience in a network administration role
- Previous experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016
- Hands on experience in Hyper-V configuration and support
- MCSE, CISSP, CCNA, or CCNP certification a plus
- Proven network engineering, network operations, and network performance analysis skills
- Hands on experience in networking, routing, and switching
- Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
- Experience with firewalls (Juniper, FortiGate), Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
- Ability to set up and configure server hardware
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
- Strong skills in organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking
