Alfa Laval is a famous brand in Marine industry for its High-Class products on board ships/vessels. Alfa Laval is famous for Oil Purifiers, Plate Heat Exchangers, Fresh Water Generators, Fuel Conditioning Modules, Ballast Water Treatment Systems, Sludge treatment systems, Aalborg Boilers etc. Alfa Laval Marine Division aims to launch new products for new trends in the industry like decarbonization, Sustainability at shipping industry.
We are looking for a professional Marine/Mechanical Engineer as Inside Sales Manager with strong Marine Industry knowledge and solid Industry network to drive Service Business in Marine & Diesel Power plants.
The person will be responsible for leading and managing a team of internal sales Engineers for Transactional Business & Customer ownership/sales. Responsible to deliver the assigned business targets in line with the Business strategy of Marine Service. Responsible for leading, developing and securing a high performing sales team in line with the Alfa Laval culture.
Job description (key responsibilities)
1. Define the business plan for assigned area of responsibility according to Division Strategy, plan and targets
2. Develop the business by driving relevant sales development activities to get the customer Loyalty: Market Analysis, Pricing, Visits, Seminars/Webinars.
3. Monitor progress against objectives and financial targets.
4. Work proactive and structured with the sales to optimize the sales efficiency of the team
5. Develop, monitor, and continuously improve the applicable work processes and quality standards for the department, especially in the quotation process.
6. Lead the inside sales team giving the direction and ensuring that they are performing according with the plan and the sales process.
7.Develop, motivate, and coach direct reports to secure the development of relevant sales and product/application competencies
8. Analyse and understand market insights and the customers buying behaviour and make sales plans according to the business division strategy and targets.
9. Look for and manage leads from the market, customers and convert them in real business opportunities means owner of Lead to Cash Process.
10. Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.
11. Drive digitalization initiatives to expand presence and customer engagement.
12. Close coordination between Service Department, Service Operations, and International Marine Service Organization.

-Customer relationship and negotiating skills
– Systems / solutions engineering knowledge, technical and costing
– High proficiency in Alfa Laval Core technology for Marine products of Alfa Laval
– Good communication skills
– Proficiency in excel, word, presentation skills.
– Relevant Engineering Degree in Marine/Mechanical.
– Strong networking in Marine industry customers
– Build up organization competencies in product/application
