Job description

Charterhouse are currently managing a search to identify a Head of Finance for one of our clients within the e-commerce and distribution sector.
About the role
This role will take ownership and oversight of all areas of financial management, commercial support and treasury-related activities whilst also ensuring strong financial accounting and governance controllership.

This role will be heavily geared towards a consolidation function, along with the development of strong management reporting capabilities, for the purpose of budgeting & forecasting, plus the development of stringent controls linking to collections and cash flow management.
The Head of Finance shall also act as a critical operational support and business partner whilst also being the external interface, to manage areas of customer support, audit, external reporting (stakeholders and investors) along with any banking and/or financing activities.
About you
The client will look to recruit a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA) whom has a background from a “top tier” accounting firm. This will be coupled with a preference of exposure to a start-up and/or scaling-up phase of an operation; whereby accounting controls, reporting structures and business policy can be defined, developed and implemented to achieve best practice.
The role will also demand a candidate whom can demonstrate areas of staff management and development with an ability to have oversight across a broad range of accounting and finance functional areas; allowing all aspects of the finance team responsibility to be managed successfully and optimised in terms of coverage and capability.
In conjunction, the client will look for strong and clear communication and presentation skills; to ensure accurate, dynamic and robust reporting mechanisms along with an understanding of working within a broad-ranging role within an SME business environment.
