Human Resources Consultant
We are currently recruiting for a Saudi National to join our Riyadh office as a Senior Human Resources Consultant.
The purpose of this role is to support the Middle East HR team with meeting our functional and regional HR goals and objectives and provide the business with best practice HR in region
This role is based in the Riyadh office and the ideal candidate will be the main point of contact for all KSA employee queries and requests. As the most senior HR role in KSA your knowledge and experience will be seeked out by all employees in KSA and the wider regional HR team.
This role will also work closely and collaboratively with the Dubai HR team to ensure all HR processes, procedures, policies and practices and activities are mirrored in both locations for a unified professional employee experience and HR function.
Working toward ensuring an efficient HR function for our growing ME region with special emphasis on our KSA needs. Looking at opportunities to provide excellent HR services and support bridging HR processes, policies, and procedures as part of the Middle East practice.

What will you be doing
Your daily responsibilities are expected to comprise the following…
- Develop relationships with, and working alongside, key stakeholders to ensure alignment with global HR practices, deadlines and internal expectations
- Maintain, regularly audit and correrct KSA Employee records and data to ensure data accuracy is kept up to date
- Support KSA based employees with all My CPO (Career Plan and Objective) matters
- Support KSA based employees with all L&D inquiries, working alongside the rest of the time to ensure the global L&D team provides appropriate support to the HR function and in the development of employee skills.
- Key point of contact for all employee inquiries
- Ensure queries are dealt with swiftly, and where necessary, with the support of HR Shared Services and IT Helpdesk.
- Manage the KSA Government Relations Advisor and our visa partners on all employee related inquiries, transactions, and processes.
- Ensure on-boarding and off-boarding formalities are aligned to internal frameworks in accordance with legal requirements
- Key stakeholder in the annual employee engagement survey process, communication and actions to be taken following engagement surveys
- Keep up to date on all KSA labour law, ministry updates and other authority announcements
- Establish professional and optimal working relationship with the Middle East HR function
- Support with any HR ad-hoc tasks and processes in KSA as directed

- Prioritising appropriately and working to agreed deadlines, managing expectations of internal clients and other members of the team.
- Escalate matters in a timely manner to avoid a break in service to the HR business partner model
- Establishing relationships at all levels within the organisation
- Be familiar with and comply with all Buro Happold’s internal policies and procedures.
- Detailed understanding of KSA employment laws and the implementation thereof
- Understands the importance of developing and maintaining good relationship-building skills throughout the organisation
- Produce and review reports, documents, and presentations as requested, to an excellent standard with a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Respects the importance of confidentiality
- Uses and applies the appropriate knowledge and understanding of their specialism for level of experience. Knows how to use the internal knowledge networks such as Yammer, Teams etc. and is comfortable searching out information.
Key Skills
- IT skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and experience of using spreadsheets and databases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Confident, proactive, and resilient character, with the ability to take the lead in challenging situations
- Strong eye on detail, accurate and ability to solve problems, think on your feet and present solutions
- Organised and strong ability to prioritise workload and manage deadlines
- Knowledge of KSA national laws and regulations
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in HR or Finance and prior experience of working in the HR team or in a similar role is highly desired.
