We are working with a Major Oil & Gas Operator to source a Reliability Engineer based in Qatar and the client would like to consider candidates based in this region due to COVID 19 regulations & constraints. Please see details below.
Job Purpose:
Identify and resolve the reliability issues of the assigned plant.
Perform RCFA /BA/ Reliability Analysis for the reliability incidents.
Reporting and Relationships
Reports to Lead Reliability Engineer.
Direct reports:
Internal:
- Regularly update the status of reliability issues of the assigned assets to Lead Reliability Engineer
- Participate in the Department weekly meeting
- Perform reliability analytics for the issues raised by the Asset
- Provide inputs to the Department KPIs, procedure
External:
- Regular contact with the Asset Team
- Perform RCFA by involving SMEs
- Attend ALT and Operation meetings
- Attend plant Risk Register Meeting
- Attend FRA related to reliability incidents
- Identify and resolve Bad actor related to the assigned asset/ plant.
- Attend MVT meetings organised by Operation Team
- Involve in asset safety walk and Reliability team safety walks
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
Contact within the various sections of the assigned asset to meet the expectations of the asset.
Key Accountabilities:
- Complying with Reliability programs and procedures such as Root cause failure analysis and Bad actor elimination process, and the section KPI's.
- Participating in the Reliability Engineering section Business Plan for preparing higher management yearly review and approval.
- Support the lead Reliability Engineer in developing and implementing policies and procedures consistent with business strategies and best practices as related to the section.
- Providing efforts to ensure reliability, availability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities as required for the asset.
- Liaising with external engineering resources to analyze and proactively eliminate reliability problems that contribute to unscheduled downtime or limit throughput.
- Providing input to RAM studies for new projects and PTAI benchmarking studies.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in Engineering
- 7 years experience in oil and gas environment, experience in maintenance of oil & gas plant.
- Fluent in English language.
- Computer literate and knowledgeable in relevant software tools and specifications.
