The franchisee controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including the selection and hiring process. JOB SUMMARY The Director of Sales & Marketing functions as the strategic business leader of the Sales & Marketing Department. Responsible for revenue generation and conversion for all segments producing into the unit directly from the domestic, local, national and International source markets. Assumes total responsibility for achieving revenue goals, guest and associate satisfaction and the financial performance of the department. Implements the brand's service strategy and applicable brand initiatives, in all aspects of the sales process. Acts as the Leader for all on-property pro active and re active sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships, which enable achievement of hotel sales objectives. Evaluates the hotel's participation in the various sales channels (e.g., Market Sales, Event Booking Centers, electronic lead channels, etc.) and develops strong working relationships to maximize hotel's benefits. Leads the proactive positioning and marketing of the property in tandem with Cluster Marketing, Public Relations and E Commerce. Designs, creates and manages the Sales budget to enable development of hotel specific campaigns, promotions and collateral to drive revenue and meet property objectives. Is seen as the Lead contact to Regional sales and marketing communications on Regional and National promotions pull through. Is also responsible for setting direction and strategy in areas of overall sales, account management, business generation and prospecting for all elements of these sources. Achieves assigned revenue goals and is responsible for developing and maintaining key account relationships in market. Will lead the launch strategy and continued success of the Marriott Healthcare City complex, developing and managing stakeholder relationships, both internal and external. As a member of the Executive Committee, champions, develops and implements hotel-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand's target customer profile and property associates and provides a return on investment to the owner and Marriott International. JOB REQUIREMENTS . 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major 4 years experience in the Sales and Marketing or related professional area. OR . 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major 2 years experience in the Sales and Marketing or related professional area. . A candidate with a proven track record in dealing with special corporate, crew, group, pharma and the long stay segment is essential. . Sales Knowledge/Experience of/in the Middle East & GCC is preferred.
