Director – Global Markets Products – Trading (UAE National Only)

Job Purpose:
- Rotation between Structured Solutions, FX & rates, Credit Trading, Ecomm, Securities Financing, Equities & Commodities, ALM and Investments in order to generate P&L and develop the client franchise.
- Enhance the Trading desks (and Global Markets) in a holistic manner for example, expanding product offering and help infrastructure building and enhancement across the desk, systematic and procedural improvements.
- Support distribution avenues to enhance the flow business:
- Produce market commentary where required
- Provide aggressive pricing to facilitate customer business
- Accompany sales on customer visits, be available for customer calls.
- Someone who is a self-starter and takes initiative – not afraid to assume responsibilities outside the normal spectrum of trading duties, including project management.
- A clear communicator across multiple platforms – ability to deliver messages to wider audiences through presentations as well as individual conversations.
- A strong risk manager with the ability to trade both on proprietary and with accounts.
Key Accountabilities:
- Manage the risk within the set parameters
- Service the client base in a professional and honest manner
- P&L generation according to budget
- Responsible for meeting financial and business objectives set by the Senior Managing Director and Head of Global Markets – Products
- Ensure compliance with all appropriate limits including counterparty limits
- Identify and analyze new product opportunities
- Ensure swift and consistent pricing to all internal and external customers
- Expand Counterparty awareness of our capabilities to attract new flows and limits
- Bring innovation to the role where possible.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Commerce or any related discipline.
Minimum Experience:
- Minimum 5 – 10 years trading experience
- Familiar with accounts in the region especially those who transact in derivatives
- Strong Microsoft office skills including VBA/Macro development – programming language a plus
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical background
- Experience with Murex
- Bloomberg User
- Self-starter which shows initiative in resolving front office issues across traded products.
