KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Under the overall supervision by the Head of Loikaw Operation, the incumbent will perform the following duties:
• Provide monthly report to Country Office including Cash forecast, Petty Cash and Operational expense report.
• Monitor WFP- Loikaw local bank accounts and keep track of balances to ensure that there are sufficient funds; prepare requests for replenishment of the Petty Cash Account and operational expenses.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and conduct analysis of operational expenses for Loikaw operations.
• Payment run for the office staff travel, driver OT, payroll, staff medical and procurement transactions in WINGS system, timely and release payment in accordance with WFP financial rules and regulations.
• Disburse payment to staff, monthly staff salary and Transport payment replenishment and withdraw the cash from the bank.
• Preparation, implementation and monitoring of budget; prepare funds consumption and other budget related reports.
• Prepare advance requests, advance settlement for trainings and workshops.
• Assist in preparation of mission visits and meeting arrangements.
• Supervise business support assistant to ensure all admin related activities are in place.
• Monitor for organizing/maintaining filing system and records for all correspondence and reference documents.
• Perform other duties as requested.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Completion of a bachelor's degree with finance related or any bachelor’s degree with a certificate of LCCI level III.
Experience
Five or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relative business stream with experience in general administrative work.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel etc.
- Knowledge of work routines and methods in order to complete processes under minimal supervision.
- Uses tact and courtesy to give and receive information to a wide range of individuals.
- Ability to identify data discrepancies and rectify problems requiring attention.
- Ability to offer guidance or basic on-the-job training to more junior staff.
Language
Fluency in both oral and written communication in both English and Myanmar languages.
