We are looking for a Domain Architect, specialized in IP and Packet Core, to join the Cloud & Network Services – Global Services team.

What you will learn and contribute to

As part of our team you will:

Reinforce the activities of IP and Packet Core Design and optimization developing skills around Mobile Gateway and Mobility Management (Evolved Packet Core) in virtualized environment together with IP architectures, sometimes in an E2E solution context (LTE or Wifi) or multivendor environment (Strategic Industries).
Work on analysis and delivery of engineering design of LTE-5G Packet Core & IP architectures (High Level Design = HLD and Low Level Design = LLD) , and as per evolution to virtualization, you will have to design these solutions in cloud/virtualized environment, using Openstack or VMWARE.The design may include also interconnection with transport backbones and backhaul networks for IP/MPLS-based IP Routing products (7×50, 7705 and SDN/NUAGE solution ), WiFi (hotspots, WiFi offload, VoWiFi- EPDG), these solutions could be HW based or VNF as well in a cloud environment.
Contribute to the capitalization of expertise and excellence via the definition of generic rules of architecture and engineering, based on best practices. Internal Lab preparation and configuration testing are also part of job, in order to get trained and validate configuration.
Missions, in country and abroad, ranging from several days to several weeks, are an integral part of the business with the purpose of : architecture / design preparation, present the results of audits or on-site consultancy.
Support customer projects on design and engineering activities for Advanced Mobile solutions, mainly focused in LTE, VoWiFi and similar end-to-end Solution.
Support to the definition of the design methodologies and generic network engineering in collaboration with other teams within Global Services, especially PLM of Services.
Sharing and transfer of knowledge to/from the colleagues in other GS teams

Your skills and experience

You have:

Telecom or IT Engineer Experienced in IP networks (R&D, Architecture and network deployment ), with recognized expertise in LTE networks / Core Package design, integration or support.

Virtualization skills are also very important in the current network transformation : Linux, KVM, Hypervisors (openstack, vmware), VNF configuration and management (scale-IN/OUT, healing).

Knowledge of all or part of the set of protocols for IP/MPLS: IGP, BGP, RSVP, LDP, etc… and Mobile networks related interfaces and protocols 2G-3G-4G

IP certifications in one or more suppliers (Nokia SRC, Cisco, Juniper) are highly recommended, priority given to Nokia SRC certification.

Teamwork spirit, participation and facilitation of working groups and presentations, good interpersonal skills for customer services are also expected skills.

English is the language commonly used in all internal and external relationships, must be mastered, both spoken and written.

Mobility for short missions from few days to few weeks (max 3 weeks / quarter).
