Aldar develops exciting and innovative projects, such as the internationally recognized HQ building situated in the Al Raha Beach development, the Gate Towers in Shams Abu Dhabi on Al Reem Island, in addition to Yas Island’s F1 circuit.

Job purpose:

Support in the development of the master planning activities across all masterplanning projects to ensure adherence to standards and cost effectiveness

Duties & responsibilities:

PRE MASTERPLAN:

•Provide overall master plan direction on feasibility / test fits based on inputs from Development VPs.
•Provide input and innovative ideas to master planning VPs.
•Participate in prequalification process and assist and oversee assessments of consultant.
•Support in the Master Planning Management and Project Management of the master plan projects to the completion of the Detailed Master Plan (DMP) or Detailed Infrastructure Design.
•Oversee and approve tender evaluations for technical stage submissions in conjunction with the line manager.
•Assist and oversee in the preparation of the RFP document
•Contribute towards the Aldar Design Guidelines with input from projects functions.
•Carry out weekly and monthly reporting of progress and issues to the line manager.

MASTER PLANNING STAGE:

•Participate in master planning presentations and review all master plan related submittals from pre-concept to detailed master plan (beyond that if needed any master planning input)
•Administer, where necessary, the consultant contract in relation to contract implementation, measuring completed work for payments, variation orders etc.
•Ensure that the consultant comply with UPC AD 2030 vision, Estidama and other authority requirements in his master plan.
•Manage the master plan progress against the programme.
•Review design documentation for the purpose of validating master planning brief / reports.
•Review master plan documentation for the purpose of validating brief / code compliance.
•Oversee and assist in obtaining master plan NOCs in conjunction with stakeholder management function.
•Assist in obtaining Utility/DOT/ADM/ etc NOC’s for master plans.
•Liaise with consultants and ensure that all PRSs and master planning submittals are in line with DMT requirements
•Review consultants work submittals against project brief and recommend changes in case of deviation
•Ensure that adequate level of support is provided to project teams during the master plan stages
•Ensure that all master plan changes are clearly communicated to the master planning VP(s) & related functions to be reflected in the forecasts
•Provide adequate level of support to relevant department in scoping of various tenders
•Work closely with development and Infrastructure teams to ensure design fit with overall plan
•Work closely with the development control team to resolve all the master planning issues related to the third parties requests.

RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE

Min of 8+ years of experience in master planning process for developments with CAPEX 4+ billion aed

SECTOR EXPERIENCE

Real estate sector, construction.

TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

•Deep exposure to GCC region and adjacent markets preferred
•Demonstrated track record in real estate developments
•Excellent design & master-planning capabilities
•Strong team player with ability to balance conflicting priorities and take timely decisions. Strong conflict resolution/management skills
•Excellent analytical skills
•Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal required to present master plans to senior leaders for approval.
•Experienced in working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams that include members from Business Planning, Design, Project Management, Procurement and Commercial functions.

QUALIFICATION

Bachelor degree in architecture or engineering or urban design or master planning
