An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Regional Manager Customs Brokerage to join our Regional Customs Brokerage Team in Dubai, United Arab Emirate. The ideal candidate can be based in Dubai, UAE or at any of our Saudi Arabia locations in Riyadh, Jeddah or Dammam or our at our Egypt locations in Cairo or Alexandria. In this job, you will play a significant role in development of a competitive, reliable and innovative customs standalone product in Middle East and Africa. Your Role
As a Regional Manager Customs Brokerage, you will develop our customs standalone product in Middle East and Africa by: – Creating compelling value proposition for Kuehne + Nagel customs standalone product. – Building a team of growth oriented customs experts in focus countries. – Acquire new customs standalone business from international and local accounts – Implementing technology enabling top visibility & connectivity with customers, internal stakeholders & customs authorities. Key objective is to become a market-leading provider of highly digitized and compliant standalone customs-brokerage solutions in MEA. Your Responsibilities

  • Develop business development-plan to boost revenues in customs standalone.
  • Analysis of the customs brokerage market in MEA, mapping relevant verticals, customers, local and regional industry trends.
  • Assesses market trends and opportunities and translates these into new customs approach with reconciliation against exiting product design and product response.
  • Draft a roadmap for customs standalone MEA, based on EMEA strategic value-prop and growth aspiration including focus markets, technical and commercial product development, go to market approach and value proposition.
  • Define target accounts and pursue opportunities in collaboration with sales teams and by own initiative.
  • Establish strong relationship with key regional client's financial decision-maker as their single point of contact as well as great relationship with customs authorities and customs association throughout the region to obtain first-hand information on market trends, technical developments and government strategies as well as to position Kuehne + Nagel as a reknown partner in the regional customs community.
  • Foster digitization of customs business by supporting visibility and automation initiatives and identifying new technologies which can support our business growth.
  • Be 1st point of contact for Sales organization – Key Account and Field Sales organization for customs brokerage related opportunities.

Your Skills and Experiences

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience in customs or customs brokerage related fields.
  • Experience and capability to be a successful functional leader, not being responsible for day to day management, but managing regional initiatives, campaigns and projects.
  • Certified Customs Broker in a specific market is a preferred to have.
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in relevant field MBA or PhD are nice to have.
  • Self-starter who is able to develop a new business from almost 0 and truly growth driven who is capable to approach the market and key customers on his / her own – sometimes as a cold call. Hunter characteristics rather than farmer.
  • Tech-savvy being able to identify digitization potential and finding solutions fitting KN technology landscape.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English, Several areas require good to very good language skills of country of the development area (Arabic) good to have.
  • Willing and interested to travel up to 35 % of time.
