This position is under consultancy agreement
This position is covering maternity period only

JOB SUMMARY
- Provide medical care related to neonatal & paediatric cases care, including prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
- Ensure the implementation of Jordan MOH clinical policies, tools, guidelines and protocols related neonate & paediatric cases care in order to minimize clinical risk and to extend best possible services under his/her expertize.
- In collaboration with other medical colleagues, collect the quantitative neonatal & paediatric cases data and ensure the use of management tools in order to improve the neonatal services provision and to ensure the safe and high qualified overall performance
- Supervise the maintenance and running of the neonatal equipment and drug consumption, preparing new orders when required and ensuring their rational use, ensuring pharmacy and medical consumable stock levels to be updated and appropriate. This will be done in cooperation with the pharmacist, Hospital Manager.
- Manages the care for sick and/or premature neonates & paediatric cases.
- Uses IMC and Jordanian protocols to guide prescription of medications and treatment.
- Attends deliveries whenever requested by the obstetrician or midwife.
- Attends all caesarean section deliveries while on shift,and manages any necessary neonatal resuscitation in conjunction with the rest of the healthcare team.
- Availability for-hours shifts, both day and night.
- Collaborates with full medical team, Obstetricians, Nurses, Midwives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Medicine
- One year of experience in a similar role
- MOH license as a pediatrician, full board certifications as a pediatrician
- NGO experience is preferred
