This position is an Analyst role in our Claim Solutions – Forensic Accounting Claim Services FACS business. Claim Solutions is one of the divisions of Marsh Advisory, a global business and differentiator for Marsh. Together with three other business units – Consulting Solutions, Analytics, and Captive Solutions – FACS provides expertise in the quantification of damages, fraud investigations, and litigation support across all industry sectors to help clients with complex risk issues.
TYPICAL DAY FOR AN ANALYST COULD INCLUDE:
- Develop financial models and analysis to support the measure/quantification of financial losses across various lines of insurance coverages including property, builders risk, product recall, fidelity, general liability and cyber risk as a result of insured loss triggers, or litigation support engagements.
- Assist in the development of financial and non-financial data analytics, visualizations, scenario analysis, and report writing to support the negotiation and settlement of large financial loss claims globally
- Participate in client discussions to address business interruption risks and help develop Business Interruption (BI) Values engagements to support Marsh teams in the placement of business interruption coverage
- Develop a deep understanding of complex insurance recovery topics including Gross Earnings/Profits, Contingent BI, Extra and Expediting expense analysis, Non-Damage BI risks, Period of Restoration/Indemnity, Time Deductibles, Stock and Property Valuation provisions, in order to evaluate and assist in maximizing financial recoveries for clients.
- Collaborating with other team members in designing and creating financial models and processes to help internal and external clients quantify and mitigate risks.
- Engagements will cut across all major industries including Technology, Mining, Retail, Telecommunications, Manufacturing, Hospitality, Healthcare, and Financial Services.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Current Seniors graduating with a bachelor's degree (expected graduation May/June 2023)
- Majors preferred: Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Permanent work authorization in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
- Locations: Los Angeles/San Francisco, with ability to travel domestically and internationally
