Site Name: Saudi Arabia – Jeddah Posted Date: Sep 17 2022 Job Purpose To ensure the effective deployment of the business & HR strategy through the Saudi Arabia HR organisation, leading to outstanding HR service delivery and great customer experience. In achieving these objectives, the job holder will also partner with the regional business heads and local business stakeholders (the GMs/Supply Chain heads of the business units in the cluster), Regional HR LT, Embedded HR Business Leaders (HRBLs), People Services Team and the Centres of Excellence Your Key Responsibilities This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following… Key Responsibilities Acting as HR Partner for the New GSK commercial business to lead HR priorities in the country with focus on talent, capabilities and culture agenda. Partner with HRBLs and/or Regional Ops Head to understand the strategic objectives, and business needs of each business within the country Key point of contact for Senior Business Leaders in country and escalation point for other matters escalated through HR model, to ensure a positive customer experience Chair relevant governance boards and ensure effective HR Service Delivery Model is in place to ensure People Services team meets business requirements, customer experience targets and other KPIs Management and oversight of supply and demand planning in country in alignment with the global HR demand planning process Ensure geographical/cultural sensitivities for any required changes in region or in country are appropriately managed Define or oversee the development and implementation of local, regional and global HR policies and processes in country, driving process standardisation, simplification and improvement and ensure appropriate controls are in place and monitored Play a key role in embed and grow for Workday, Service Now usage and capability by ensuring HR, line managers and employees make efficient and effective use of the Workday and service Now platform In partnership with HRBLs, Regional ER team and others, ensure effective support to employee relations in country and ensure effective risk management of HR activities Partner with the appropriate HR resource to support the deployment of HR initiatives in the country (e.g. organisational change, new CoE programmes, HR Transformation) Key Deliverables Works as OneHR with other partners to deliver for the business Demonstrates excellence in coaching by integrating into conversations with leaders in the business and HR Spots opportunities and uses data for continuous improvement and to enhance the customer experience Balances the priorities across different business areas and demonstrates knowledge and understanding across all business areas in the country Demonstrates excellent contracting, challenging, and reframing the need when necessary Demonstrates excellent resource planning and the ability to forecast GSK’s future need for HR support Shares collective responsibility for the reputation of HR by partnering effectively across the HR Operating Model being clear on accountabilities and ways of working Proactively develops and builds line manager and leadership team capability to solve their own people challenges Demonstrates business know how through knowledge of the GSK strategy, interpreted in the business area and HR Influences and work collaboratively with the business to drive the HR strategy Externally focuses on best practice throughout global HR Operations and maintains external business and commercial acumen Key Capabilities Leading change – Leads and drives the efficient delivery of diverse change projects in support of the company’s strategic agenda within a culture of empowerment through personal leadership and using GSK standard tools Business insight – Understand the internal/external business environment and apply that knowledge and insight to ensure our business ambition is achieved through our people Coaching leaders – Coaches and counsels business leaders through insight, constructive feedback and challenge, delivered in a trustful way to enable the leader to be most effective and to ensure consistency with New GSK behaviors. Talent – Build and implement a talent plan that delivers best in class, diverse talent in key roles based on the business strategic needs Culture Development – Build a Purpose and Performance culture that supports IPTc. Translate the business agenda into the desired culture in an engaging, inclusive way HR Service Delivery – Ensure success of the OneHR operating model by promoting the use of digital tools, self-service and global processes among employees and managers HR Governance & Risk – Understands clear operating principles, structures and accountabilities and applies to HR activity to ensure risks are mitigated, company reputation is protected and related financial, fiduciary, legal and policy duties are carried out. Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: University degree (preferably in Business Administration) Saudi National 5+ years of experience in strategic HR role. Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate Degree Essential Skills and Abilities: Demanding Operational Environments – Experience within fast-moving, demanding, complex environments where a breadth of operational issues have to be handled with a need to multi-task and deal with ambiguity. Solution Delivery – Experience establishing and executing efficient and flexible operational processes that deliver customer requirements and the HR agenda. Working in a Matrixed Environment – Exposure to working in a highly complex matrixed structure and with multiple lines of authority, leveraging influence within a complex network of stakeholders. Change Facilitator – Experience leading change that builds capability reduces complexity and cost. HR in a business context – Understanding of business needs and business environment and how these translate into HR plans and solutions. Virtual leadership – Experience leading from a distance in an inspiring and empowering manner (for regional/cluster roles). Leadership and development of teams– Experience of having led and developed teams to deliver high quality outcomes International Contexts – Experience operating in an international, world-class global company, working across different countries and cultures with a diverse range of populations.
