Commercial Director

Job Description

The opportunity
To lead senior commercial and procurement teams engaged in a PMO for the mega programme delivery on a fast-track basis. Provide leadership of full life-cycle commercial function from contract formation through to administration and closeout. Close alignment with the client organisation, multiple PMCs and downward supply chain, leading the team to deliver an efficient and sustainable supply chain.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing the procurement strategy development, incorporating vendor optimisation, local and sustainable vision realisation assessed against balancing cost, contracting strategy, efficient use of lump sum, turnkey, performance-based supply and market outreach optimisation.
  • Continuously improving tender reports, protocols and documentation including the following key deliverables.
  • Establishing, chairing, recording and reporting regular upstream commercial client meetings and similarly with PMC service providers downstream.
  • Managing the prequalification, solicitation and bidding strategies and implementation.
  • Budget planning, forecasting and cost management. Cost benchmarking reports, provide elemental cost evaluation information for benchmarking purposes.
  • Overseeing all aspects of contract administration including payment certification, cost reporting, change management and reporting on progress.
