About The Department

Market Access & Public Affairs department in Novo Nordisk Algeria aims to secure access to innovative therapeutic solutions for patients suffering from chronic diseases such as Diabetes & Obesity and rare diseases such Haemophilia and Growth disorders.

The Position

The main responsibilities of the Pricing Manager will be contributing to maximizing the value of the Algeria Novo Nordisk portfolio by developing competitive pricing and contracting strategies, effectively employing knowledge of key pricing & reimbursement systems, managing pricing market research, price optimization modelling, health economic analysis & outcome research.

Key Tasks Include, but Are not limited to:

  • Pricing and Contracting

You will conduct pricing research and develop pricing strategies for Novo Nordisk assets to optimize profit, and you will manage, monitor and optimize prices for in-line products in order to optimize value of portfolio. Adding to this, you will monitor pricing landscape and benchmark countries pricing fluctuations, and you will manage the price approval process for new product launches, dispensation/tender requests and prepare requests to Management in order to facilitate compliance with pricing strategies.

You will deliver state-of-the-art pricing analyses on the effects on profits of reference pricing, parallel trade, mandate price reduction and competitors pricing and deliver insight in order to inform and guide pricing decisions.

Adding to the above, you will prepare solid business cases and provide robust pricing and contracting recommendations to management, and you will identify and initiate potential contracting opportunities and coordinate the development of the contracting case in close collaboration with IO/BA.

  • Health Economic & outcomes research

You conduct HEOR projects including health economic modelling for innovation to support access strategies, and you Interact with cross-functional team members as well as external consultants and vendors to develop and deliver HEOR studies. You Manage, on a project basis, cross-functional teams to execute and deliver research, and you generate value communication outputs (internal reports, published papers, abstracts/posters etc.) which can be used for promotional purposes by sales teams.

You also provide HEOR expertise on studies to demonstrate product value and generate real world evidence; on market access and product reimbursement for new health & wellness products; and on value-based reimbursement and outcomes.

Qualifications

To be effective in this role, you need to have a university degree in Business, Finance or a related field.

You also need to have:

  • At least 3 years of experience in pricing & Market access or Business analysis, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Superior analytical skills relative to data analytics
  • Ability to use technical skills to lead an analytic and systematic approach to issue resolution
  • Fluent in spoken and written French and English is a must.
