Role Overview:
This position is for an Integration and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Manager who will provide engineering support, coordination between the various OEMs associated with SAMI projects and the Design/Engineering Contractor (Jacobs) and the SAMI Engineering Team and the SAMI Contracts Team. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, recognized problem-solving abilities, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate solutions for timely and cost-effective project execution.
Position Responsibilities:
· Review TQs (Technical Queries) from both the 3 OEMs and Jacobs. Ensure TQs are closed in a timely manner. Elevate TQs as necessary to ensure questions are answered. Maintain TQ log and have regular meetings/workshops to progress the design.
· Review OEM's submittals and ensure they are coordinated with the Jacobs design drawings.
· Ensure Jacobs has the necessary OEM information to move their design forward.
· Where OEM design information is not available, the Integration Manager is to develop a strategy to move the Jacobs design forward in order to not delay construction of the buildings necessary to house OEM equipment. This may include out of sequence construction, routing of MEP services necessary for OEM Equipment for future tie-in, and other methods to complete a weather-tight building.
· Hold regularly scheduled meetings with the 3 individual OEM suppliers, track meetings and actions via Meeting Minutes. Critical Item Action Reports and Risk Registers.
· Review shop drawings, samples of materials and components, mockups, catalog information, certificates of compliance, and provide technical responses that relate to the OEM Packages.
· Ensure requests for deviations or changes to any terms and conditions of the contract are organized and approved, as appropriate with SAMI Contracts Department.
· Provide technical solutions to unforeseen problems that arise during the design development. Accommodate work arounds to ensure building design is moved forward. Notify SAMI Contracts team immediately if an associated cost increase arises.
· Assist in identifying the need for a modification to scope, cost and/or schedule based on collaboration with the Jacobs.
· Regularly monitor schedule relating to OEM equipment and make relevant parties aware of any discrepancies.
· Provide technical support to the SAMI Contracts team for claims/disputes/terminations processing and resolution.
· Evaluation and notification of any significant event or technical deficiency associated with OEM performance.
· Perform 3D Model design reviews to ensure OEM equipment and associated building components and MEP services are as designed.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to Early Career Hire Saudi Engineers.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering discipline from an accredited college or university with 15 years of related experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Hands-on Microsoft office programs and other computer programs.
· Technical knowledge of a specialized engineering discipline, cost, scheduling and/or contracts administration relating to the design of heavy industrial or commercial complexes.
· Design and/or design management experience on industrial or heavy mechanical projects.
. Experience working with Vendor.
· Excellent oral & written communications skills.
· Experience with design of manufacturing or industrial type plant. Registered Engineer in the United States, Canada, UK or equivalent.
· Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Saudi Visa.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with Facility Management, Project Management, or Construction Management on commercial/industrial type facilities.
· Knowledge of local, state, federal, and foreign country laws, codes, and other statutory requirements affecting engineering design.
· Knowledge of International Building Code (IBC) and Saudi Building Codes.
· Ability to read and understand contractor baseline schedules.
· Experience with Revit design tools.
· Experience with an Electronic Document management system (ACONEX or similar).
· Previous Bechtel experience is preferred but not required.
· Ability to identify, correspond and organize with corporate engineering reach-back resources, as needed.
· A strong understanding of interfacing discipline requirements including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical and other disciplines.
· Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook.
· Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia or Middle East.
