Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the Senior HR Officer is responsible for assisting in the administration of the Human Resources policies and procedures. The Senior HR Officer will assist in carrying out the following functional areas: HR departmental development, employee relations, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and other employment related functions.

The Senior HR Officer will also maintain legal compliance of the organization and to foster and maintain a positive and productive work environment for International Medical Corp’s human resources.

The Senior HR Officer will also manage number of HR staff and work closely with the team to build their capacities by developing their interpersonal skills and professional expertise.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. HUMAN RESOURCES INFORMATION SYSTEM (HRIS)
  • Administer HR data in Cost point , TE, and local systems
  • Reconcile staff Leave details and ensure the data is updated
  • Ensure personnel files are kept up to date and ready for audits
  • Produce HR reports as required – leave, retention, turnovers, absence, et al
  • As required ensure that all approved HR policies, procedures, checklist are available to staff and disseminate accordingly.

PAYROLL, COMPENSATION/BENEFITS

  • In close collaboration with Finance team and Payroll officer, supervise and monitor the payroll process for staff including those separating to include deductions, increments and payment for any other benefits
  • Ensure that Finance make accurate Payments and deductions on monthly basis.
  • Coordinate staff Health Insurance; Social Security and other benefit

3. ON BOARDING AND OFF BOARDING

  • Manage full candidate journey to ensure a positive experience for all applicants to IMC Jordan
  • Assist HR Manager to review current Onboarding program, coordinate orientation activities, addressing any issue and feeding back to line manager
  • Work with the hiring managers, HR International, Security, travel team to ensure full on-boarding procedures are in place for the new starter: develop candidate care procedures to ensure that future team members are fully prepared to start in their roles as quickly and effectively as possible
  • Coordinate off boarding (separation paperwork, payments, entitlement, exit interviews et al)

4. STAFF ENGAGMENT, LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT

  • Support cultural changes in the organization through a variety of different methods, including implementing action plans following Staff Survey, enabling managers to more effectively, line manage their staff, strongly encouraging managers to take greater responsibility for their staff.
  • Support Staff learning and development activities. This include HR mandatory training programs, Welearn, organizing IYK and other team building activities.

5.EMPLOYMENT RELATIONS

  • Support discipline and grievance procedures and conduct several awareness sessions for IMC staff
  • Lead several investigations related to code of conduct violations, including conducting interviews with the complainant and review supporting evidences, communicating findings to HR Manager and the committee for further actions
  • Provide basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures when required
  • Support the HR Manager is managing the communication with the lawyer and stay updated with labor laws ad orders ,ensuring compliance

6. HR PROJECTS INCLUDING HEALTH AND SAFETY

  • To plan and undertake relevant special project work as directed by line manager.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of HR legislation and best practice in Jordan and humanitarian sector
  • Perform other duties as required
