The role

The Senior Investment Manager is an integral part of the NEOM MEC Fashion department. The position is responsible for leading the fashion VC fund and investment initiatives within the department, and support the team through financial analysis, research, due diligence and asset monitoring functions.

Accountabilities

Ownership of the fashion VC fund business plan previously developed and approved, update and maintain files as required by the business needs and key decisions taken by management
Establish key priorities, KPIs and success factors for the fund, and provide a detailed delivery roadmap
Socialize, pitch and communicate the fashion fund executive summary to internal & external stakeholders
Liaise with the Fashion FP&A Senior Manager so as to provide regular updates required for NEOM Corporate Finance
Liaise with the MEC FP&A team so as to provide regular updates required for the MEC sector

Ownership of the fashion VC fund initiative/entity and represent its lead point of contact within the Fashion department
Initiate, drive and develop the set-up of the fashion VC fund : define fund governance as part of NEOM, initiate set-up of legal entity, set-up of required logistics, negotiate office space internally, etc.
Lead on transaction-related activities such as exits/dispositions, major lease analysis and recapitalizations
Create, update and maintain detailed Excel models to capture complex capital structure and waterfall calculations
Create sensitivity models for strategic initiatives and provide concise results and reports
Develop recommendations for the Director of Fashion based on your analysis
Attend meetings with various internal and external stakeholders
Review outputs of the team’s analysts and support them in their work
Participate in operational, development and financing calls to drive the strategy of the investments
Assisting the Fashion department in ad hoc projects and analyses
Managing ownership documentation including debt and venture agreements to ensure compliance and covenants and terms
Calculating quarterly asset and equity valuations and preparing supporting documentation
Hire and manage specialized consultants as required additional support according to business needs

Identify potential partner funds sharing synergies with NEOM Fashion strategy and fund positioning, engage, negotiate and conclude partnership contracts
Identify, short-list, engage with, attend pitches and recruit start-up & scale-up company prospects that present a clear fit with NEOM Fashion sustainable strategy
Support the Director of Fashion on developing any collateral documents to communicate on any fashion-related investment and fund-related initiatives, to investors, partners and brands
Various presentation generation and maintenance for key management internal and external stakeholders (NEOM Investment Fund, Sector Heads, CEO, Board of Directors, Public Investment Fund, partner fund MPs, etc.)

Skills

Minimum 6 years of professional experience acquired in a complex business environment managing relationships with multiple and diverse stakeholders
Professional experience within investment banking, private equity, banking or financial services sectors, with international exposure
Minimum 3 years of professional experience acquired working on impact investing and/or on ESG-focused investments or initiatives
Experience with fashion or luxury industries-related investments or funds preferred
Advanced Excel skills, must be able to create models from scratch (there is a test)
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines with ease
Strong drive to succeed and work long hours in a team-oriented, rewarding environment

Qualifications

Bachelors degree (min. 4 years of university studies) in finance, economics, accounting, financial services or engineering mandatory
Top MBA (Masters of Business Administration) graduate preferred
Excellent proficiency in MS Office pack (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Exceptional oral and written communication in English
