The opportunity
This is an opportunity to be involved in the delivery of major sports stadia and associated projects in Saudi Arabia. Mace are currently bidding for this programme which will require high-calibre and experienced people to lead teams throughout each phase of the project.
We are hiring an ambitious and forward-thinking Deputy Programme Director to join our established and growing team in KSA.
The role reports into the Programme Director, and requires someone who work within a core leadership team, providing strategic support, vision and leadership through all phases.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting into the Programme Director providing support and leadership
  • Provide leadership to the programme through the programme leadership team
  • Directing, inspiring, motivating and encouraging a high performing team environment.
  • Leading your designated team through the full project cycle from establishment, design, procurement, construction to handover
  • Establishment of the project controls, performance management tools and key performance indicator reporting aligned to the overall project strategy.
  • Establish and agree governance strategies and organisational policies to enable the strategic coordination of multiple projects.
  • Improve efficiencies and effectiveness of project delivery within the wider portfolio
  • Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with key Client departments, stakeholders and wider project team members.
  • Support training and coaching and ongoing support to enhance the experience and capability of the Client team members and our own internal team
  • Support the delivery of positive results in delivery of assets across the portfolio
  • Establish compliance framework with the Client and government entity requirements.
  • Develop organisational structure for the delivery of the functional support across the programme
  • Develop and manage recruitment requirements aligned to the deployment strategy and implementation plan agreed with the Client.
  • Effective management of internal job costing in relation to our fee and resource requirement
  • Facilitating the translation of strategy into planning and delivery across the programme.
  • Complying with all protocols, policies and procedures in relation to all staff related matters.
  • Promoting continuously and making an influence of a positive safety culture.
  • Providing a coherent report performance against the plan to the client and regional management.
  • Acting as one of the public face of the programme to external stakeholders.
  • Providing leadership to balance value, quality, time and cost drives in order to optimise the programme.
