The Business Lead of NEOM Sport sector, will be responsible for working within the business & strategy function, primarily managing procurement, finance, and strategy workstreams. This role will require engagement with relevant internal partners within finance, procurement and NEOM Sport, and externally through supplier management. These key elements of business operation will include budget control, supplier relations, and strategic enablement.

In order to achieve our goals, the business and strategy function plays a key role in aligning all Sport sub-sectors to create an overall strategy and help procure all services and products required to hit our targets.
The role of the Business Lead is integral for the entire sector as the position will be the main contact and lead for all procurement and finance related matters. The candidate will control all spending using SAP systems as sector Key User, by overseeing the procurement process from start to finish, including supplier financial management to ensure timely invoicing and payments. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate exceptional organization and software skills and put your exemplary supplier relationship techniques to work. You will both learn from and interact with the specialists in our Financial Planning and Analysis department of NEOM, and within the team with the Strategy & Business Manager.

Key Accountabilities & Activities:
- Working with the Procurement team, you will lead the Sport sector procurement as key user on SAP software; including initiating all purchase requisitions and overseeing the process from start to finish.
- Lead and control all sector budget expenditure using SAP software and excel spreadsheets.
- Have excellent relations with Sport colleagues to create and monitor important documents, such as Implementation Plans and strategy documents
- Provide direct support to suppliers to assist with their SAP requirements, such as registration, tender responses, invoicing and more.
- Maintain frequent and direct interaction within NEOM Sport Team to ensure all procurement needs are provided and met on a timely fashion.
- Work with Strategy & Business Manager to develop annual budgets, by meeting with sub sector specialists to understand their workstreams and KPIs in depth.
- Provide monthly reports including current spend, forecasted spend and accruals.
- Develop trackers for budget, invoicing, and procurement items for efficient processes.
- You will be the main point of contact for general Sport sector enquires, delegating or owning ad-hoc tasks received by the sector.
- Actively participate in the development of the NEOM Sport sector.
- Provide robust support to the Strategy & Business Manager for various workstreams, especially around strategy, workforce models, and other diverse tasks.
Background, Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience of 5+ years working in admin/ business/ operation roles or other government/ private entities.
- Previous experience working in Finance and Procurement
- Experience with SAP desirable
- Proven ability to manage spreadsheets and project management experience
- Flexibility to work in the relatively unstructured environment of a start-up.
- Have attention to detail, with the skill to produce high quality, consistent, clear, and reliable outputs.
- Organizational skills with special emphasis on the ability to prioritize
- Have a persistent and professional personality to deal with multiple stakeholders
Qualifications:
• University degree or equivalent level of experience
