• Ensure that documentation relating to the Broadcast network is up to date and complete

• Maintain specific configuration settings and documentation for all systems

• Development of usage and training documentation for all systems

• Development of scripts to bridge functionality from time to time as required

• Planning and execution of projects

• Responsible for the team covering 1st line engineering support for all ingest, edit, archive, playout and

encoding systems

• Assist in training of Engineers directly and cross training between the team

• Work with internal and external resources to complete projects on broadcast systems to schedule and

without disruption to service

المهارات

• Experience of at least 5 years working in a large multi-cultural organization

• Experience of at least 5 years working in a News broadcast environment

• Strong IT background and proven knowledge of IT networks

• Some experience in application development would be advantageous

• Ability to develop logical detailed test scenarios

• Must have working knowledge of Windows Server, SQL 2008/2012, Visio, MS Project and other

Microsoft Applications

• Knowledge of AutoCAD would be valuable

• Knowledge of metadata associated with broadcast video and audio signals

• Knowledge of data flow between systems

• Detailed knowledge of Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems

• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate to both technical and non-technical

personnel and departments

• Must possess a professional and positive attitude/outlook

• Show initiative, independent correspondence and perform well under pressure to achieve deadlines

• Strong organisational skills are essential with ability to continually re-prioritise own workload and

deadlines

• Strong logical and analytical thinker
