Transformer Operations Manager
The Site Operations Director ensures industrial and operations activities from bid to execution to transfer to Train Manufacturing Site and shall:
- Manage all the Industrial Operations for activities during tenders and projects execution covering, Industrialization, Supply Chain, Industrial Transfer, Manufacturing, Retrofit in site.
- Manage Operations workload and set up means & resources in line with Site Workload / Budget.
- Manage project industrial development activities and execute associate deliverables with Donor Site and COE Electrical
- Ensure Design for Operations (DfO) aspects are correctly addressed in development phase and Ensure continuous improvement (APSYS ) Standards
- Ensure proper transfer to Train Manufacturing Site during project execution and ensure customer satisfaction
- Manage related performance (Q, C, D, EHS) in line with site strategy, targets and in compliance with Alstom policies, standards (incl. local regulations)
- In this respect the person in charge complies with Ethics and Compliance policies.
Key accountabilities:
- Industrial costing for site at tender and project development phase
- Operations staffing plan (PME – Manufacturing – SC-GSI) Manage industrial workload: anticipate and ensure industrial operations team staffing,
- Challenge SSMs / TPP for ensuring Design for Operation
- Industrial deliverables according to gates of projects in execution matching project QCD objectives and industrial operation standards.
- Ensure the transfer of knowledge and accountability to Train Manufacturing Site at defined date
- Be accountable for the proper implementation and full compliance with Code of Ethics, EHS and other Alstom policies and Customer requirements
- Reports all Industrial KPIs on a weekly and monthly basis
- Ensure that all industrial / Operation data are well settled in the ERP and associated landscape (MES,AOS..etc), that all counterparts are using all methodology & tools provided to them.
- Ensure that day to day management is under control at operations level.
Main activities:
- Provide industrial deliverables according gate respecting QCD
- Lead the problem-solving approach when technical or operational issues arrive
- Ensure coordination between DFO and CO to ensure TMS readiness for Start Of Production
- Perform lessons learned/ feedback on industrial activities and contribute to update the Industrial Ref Lib of the platform.
- Environment, Health, Safety & security under control. All directives applied as per Alstom corporate and local rules & initiatives in place.

- Industrial readiness; Layout readiness, jigs/tools/Quality tools/Capex, industrial data readiness (accurate in the ERP), capacity to integrate continuous improvement in manufacturing thanks to a good use of EMFU/IMFU.
- Manage all the operations in the shopfloor; layout definition, industrial data readiness, manufacturing, process & manufacturing engineering, Industrial & process Quality development.
- Cost compliance; adherence to learning curve, industrial continuous initiatives pushed on operational functions, efficiency & productivity measurement.
- Quality: Ensure than non-conformities are registered, solving issue tools launched for each one, and action plan to find and tackle root cause & system quality managed.
- Anticipation capacity on industrial takt-time changes. Lead those changes for the operations.
- Lean approach in all the topics (Manufacturing engineering, physical flows, manufacturing).
- People Management Cycle
Performance measurements:
- Achievement of project QCD commitments.
- Resolution of operational and technical issues.
- Deliverables per gates on Time
- Gate Reviews Go on Time
