KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Under the direct supervision of Head of Nutrition Unit, the incumbent will perform the following duties:
- Provide activity management to Activity 7, providing project management support to other nutrition projects and activities, as needed, ensuring a coordinated approach with wider programmes/projects that complies with WFP standards and procedures
- Manage the activity programme’s budget, monitoring expenditures, and stock against outputs as the programme progresses
- Collaborate with, and report progress on, the activity delivery at regular intervals to the SO Managers, functional managers, and other staff with activity management responsibilities to include analysis and mitigation measures related to the activity implementation, when necessary
- Contribute to the development of nutrition projects and activities, plans, and processes ensuring alignment with wider nutrition policies and guidance
- Monitor monthly distribution reports from the Field Offices (FOs) and other various reports from Cooperating Partners (CPs).
- Support the nutrition team on resource mobilization by contributing to donor proposals and reports
- Support the Head of Nutrition and other program policy officers on internal and external coordination with relevant counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities)
- Liaise with WFP’s FOs and CPs in monitoring ongoing projects, ensuring effective collaboration, timeliness, and efficiency highlighting potential risks to project delivery
- Track and analyze data to provide input into reporting activities contributing to the preparation of accurate and timely reporting on nutrition activities enabling informed decision making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders
- Support the capacity building of WFP staff, partners, and national government (when possible) to prepare for, and respond to, nutrition needs for example the production of review of training materials
- To coordinate, collaborate and attend meeting with the relevant counterparts regarding implementation of WFP Myanmar Nutrition programmes.
- Guide junior staff, acting as a point of referral and support with more complex analysis and queries
- Act in an assigned emergency response capacity as required to meet emergency food assistance needs
- Other relevant duties, as required
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Advanced university degree in Public Health Nutrition, Nutrition, Food Technology, Medicine, or relevant field
Other Knowledge and Skill:
- Proficiency in Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience in Database software (MS Access)
Language: Working knowledge of English (proficiency/level C)

- Seven years working experience
- Experience and exposure to implementation of national/international development programmes
- Experience working in public health/food security/ nutrition related activities
- Experience identifying and defining nutrition issues/problems within a country
- Experience working with a variety of nutrition actors/stakeholders
