Monitoring & Evaluation Officer-Nationals Only
The purpose of the M&E Officer role is to contribute to enhancing NRC Jordan’s understanding of the consequences of its programming, for example through adapting and improving internal systems to promote evidence-based decision-making and programme performance.
Responsibilities for Internal Candidates |
Generic responsibilities
- Ensure adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.
- Implement delegated Core Competency project portfolio according to plan of action.
- Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
- Ensure proper filing of documents.
- Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
- Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.
Specific responsibilities
- Take part in the development of data collection methodologies and tools.
- Lead data collection processes, ensuring data is gathered in a timely and appropriate manner and to high quality.
- Support planning, designing and delivering trainings to enumerators and program staff.
- Implement data quality spot checks, and oversee data collection by enumerators to ensure data is collected according to high standard of quality.
- Clean and maintain data files as needed.
- Assist in data management and data analysis
- Liaise with program and field teams around needed M&E systems.
- Support in standardising M&E across projects.
- Contribute to the development of a data management system through documentation, implementation and coordination of standardised information flow of M&E activities and reporting.
- Document progresses, technical issues, questions, ideas for improvement, feedback and lesson learnt in a way that can be channeled to the line manager through a clear reporting mechanism.
- Support in dissemination of information, and providing timely evidence for improved programming and advocacy. Support in implementation of capacity building plans for implementing partners.
- Support M&E team in other activities agreed and discussed with the management.

- Previous experience from working in complex and volatile contexts.
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
- Excellent knowledge of English.

Qualification requirement: College/diploma degree or equivalent Years of Experience: 2
- Strong organizational and team working skills
- Highly approachable, trustworthy and confidential
- Strong Excel Command skills
- Knowledge of Power BI, Kobo and XLS is a plus
