Job description

Charterhouse is working with a Regional Facilities Management company in Qatar, which offers facilities management services to its government and private clients across Qatar. The client is looking to hire a Corporate Lawyer to provide legal advice on all aspects of corporate activities and legal disputes.
About the role
This position involves undertaking legal counsel responsibilities with a focus on corporate and commercial topics. The role would require you to review, draft, negotiate and administer a variety of tender and contracts, and advise on business transactions, claim liability, lawsuits, legal rights and obligations. An important purpose in this role is the ability to draft and translate letters and contracts in Arabic and English, addressed to governmental authorities or involving legal issues.

You will also have to maintain updates in terms of new business laws and regulations, as well as labour matters – interpreting laws, rulings and regulations, to analyse the legal risks and their potential implications to advise the CEO accordingly.
About you
To be considered for this role, the candidate should have a minimum of 7 PQE in a law firm or an in-house role, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience handling commercial contracts. You will need strong legal and operations focus. A background in facility management, engineering or construction biddings will be an added advantage.

The role will require excellent attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and excellent oral and written communication skills in both Arabic and English. You will be expected to display legal and business acumen.
