About this role:
- Provides safety leadership by example to the Onshore Project Team and the EPC- 2 Marine Contractor Team, its sub-contractors and site vendors
o As delegated by the Construction Head Marine, the incumbent is responsible for the implementation of the Onshore Project Site Safety program which includes the SHES Activity Schedule.
o Responsible for ensuring the EPC-2 Marine Contractor Team implements and sustains its obligations and responsibilities for SHES project deliverables - Onshore Project EPC-2 Team Construction representative for monitoring and coordinating site activities of the EPC- 2 Marine Contractor Team and its subcontractor(s) in their area of responsibility.
- Reports on the construction activities, progress, areas of concern and mitigating actions. Leads appropriate weekly construction discipline review meetings.
- Prepares for and participates in weekly construction review meetings.
- Responsible for implementation of execution activities and ensures development, review and approval (as required) of appropriate plans, procedures, and programs for safe and effective execution. This includes authorization of permits.
- Provides accurate, timely and routine reports to the Head Marine Construction on project planning and execution activities
- Reviews and approves the EPC-2 Marine Contractor Team construction sequence plans, work plans, pre-task planning and method statements to ensure comprehensive safety and feasibility in their area of responsibility.
- Leads incident investigations with support from the SHES organization.
- Ensures Marine Contractor Team construction activities are completed in accordance with Onshore Project procedures, regulations, specifications, standards, and permit to work procedures as applicable, including relevant procedures.
- Participates in the review of subcontracts and ensures that adequate control and changes in work procedures are established.
- Reviews and approves construction field changes and extra work requests as delegated by the Head Marine Construction.
- Supervises and manages Onshore Project Team direct report project personnel.
- Assists Onshore Project Construction Head Marine Works in executing his responsibilities and acts in his behalf during his absence.
- Demonstrates ability to plan and schedule work (short term and long term) and ensures execution of work plan by subordinates (as applicable
- Monitors and ensures the correction of non-conformance report items and other issues supporting QA/QC compliance.
- Monitors site material handling, prefabrication and warehousing procedures with respect to their area to facilitate construction progress.
- Assist in collection of all documentation offshore relating to the project (i.e. equipment and personnel certifications, Contractor DPRs, minutes of meetings, JSAs, vessel and diving equipment inspections and audits, Contractors Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), accident/incident reports, near miss reports, survey reports, as built reports, Management of Change (MOC) reports, and corrective action reports)
What you need to bring:
- Bachelor or Associates degree in Engineering or Science (preferred)
- Recognized degree in engineering or construction management, and or prior work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the knowledge described above.
- Ten (10) years in offshore installation experience and offshore installation vessel supervisory experience.
- Experience in major Construction Projects (including brown-field work) with total capital expenditure USD$.5B
- Recent experience (last 5 years) on oil and gas projects
