Company
Our client is a well-known Luxury lounge for an Aviation company. The company has more than 600 employees in a vast number of divisions and departments. They are currently looking for a Chef de Cuisine to be based in Bahrain.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design of menus to be in line with cuisine philosophy
- Maintain highest quality of ingredients
- Manages daily orders and checks quality of the food products received from suppliers and commissary off-site kitchen
- Promote the features and F&B options to guests
- Talk with guests and make menu recommendations and suggestions about the menu offerings
- Present brief culinary moments in front of the guests with dishes coming from the hot kitchen
- Menu presentations and tastings to the Lounge management on a regular basis
- Lead, coach, motivate the kitchen team
- Manage and train all kitchen and back-of-house kitchen staff to achieve high performance
- Lead by example, is a strong role model for interpersonal performance standards and a champion of culinary standards
- Create a strong team relationship with the kitchen staff
- Share responsibilities with the Lounge Leader and Head House Keeper in managing all aspects of the Lounge
- Manages & carries out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by F&B Director.
Qualification & Requirements:
- Degree OR Professional Diploma in Culinary Arts
- 5 years minimum work experience within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurants
- Must have experience in leading large teams with financial and management responsibilities
- Must have excellent English language communication skills and both verbal and written presentation technique.
- Proficient in Computers and related programs (Word, MS Office, Excel)
