SNC-Lavalin has an exciting full-time career opportunity for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer of 15 years experience to build a career in the area of Power Systems, Transmission and Distribution. The role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Working in collaboration with the Civil/Structural team to prepare the following deliverables / provide the following engineering services (non-exhaustive list):
- Development of technical specifications for the procurement.
- Development of conceptual and detail design of HV substations (single line diagrams, layouts, BOM, etc.)
- Design of interfaces with protection and control systems, civil works, structures
- Preparation of bid documents and bid evaluations
- Design review of detail design performed by O.E.M. and third-party detail design
- Ensure interdisciplinary coordination
- Audits and technical assessment of HV and MV substations
- Construction supervision development of installation procedures and method statements
- Commissioning supervision
- Witnessing factory testing
- Feasibility and techno-economic studies (substations, distribution systems, etc.)
- Design studies and calculations (load flow, short-circuit, grounding, lightning protection, lighting, busbar design, etc.)
Bachelor's degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering, from a recognized institution (Master's degree in power systems, an asset)
