Housekeeper (Full time)

CONTEXT

Médecins Sans Frontières is a private, non-profit international humanitarian organization dedicated to providing medical assistance to populations in crisis, without discrimination and regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. Médecins Sans Frontières is seeking a Housekeeper for its guesthouse in Amman.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the supervision of the Country Office Manager and in close collaboration with the housekeeping team:

• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets and other rooms in MSF houses.
• Do the laundry iron clothes and other housekeeping activities.
• Support the cook (washing up, cleaning the kitchen, etc.).
• Sweep and mop the floors.
• Restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) as required.
• Upon arrival, prepare hot water for tea/coffee and refill drinking water.
• Check that the toilets are well stocked with paper, soap and condoms.
• Check that the water supply (kitchen, showers, etc.) is sufficient during water cuts.
• Keep premises properly locked (doors, windows).

PROFILE

• Primary education
• At least 2 years of previous experience in humanitarian aid is required.
• Eligible to work in the Jordan and if will ever need sponsorship to work in Jordan he/she should be sponsored by organization or company.
• Experience in similar roles experience with Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) is preferred.
• Essential, mission working language and local languages (English and Arabic).
• Commitment, Flexibility ,Stress Management, Teamwork ,Service.

WORK LOCATION: Amman – Jordan

CONTRACT: Fixed term contract – Full Time – 12 months renewable

Probable start date: ASAP
