Executive Manager – Process and Governance
Job Description
Job Purpose:
Establish processes for IT governance through implementation of monitoring and reporting mechanisms for IT processes. Own key processes for IT – Project Management (specific to IT projects), Vendor Management and License Management.
Job Accountabilities:
– Define procedures and measures for owned processes to ensure that they are effective, appropriately communicated and complied with.
– Develop, implement and monitor reporting mechanisms for governance, security and risk practices to support compliance and highlight areas of exposure
– Monitor and review compliance with risk management strategies and practices to ensure IT-related activities are meeting minimum standards
– Review identified risks and ensure mitigating actions are in place and key risks are highlighted to Management
– On behalf of the CIO, engage internal/external auditors and represent IT at Risk forums
– Manage, lead and develop individuals in their team
Education & Qualification
Bachelors IT Engineering
Knowledge
– Project management practices
– IT application development, implementation and maintenance process
– Risk management processes – measuring, monitoring, classification (assessment), mitigation
– Internal and external compliance requirements.
Experience
10 years of experience in the IT function, with at least 3 years practicing IT project management and application development. Prior experience in a governance role would be an advantage.
Accreditation / Licensing
PMP or PRINCE2 Certification. GRCP or ISACA certification would be an advantage.
