The opportunity
As a Utilities/EAM professional, you'll be focused on bringing solutions and strategies to advancing our clients work & asset management capabilities. You'll work with high-performing teams that drive growth and deliver exceptional client service, ensuring that you play your part in building a better working world through better working assets.
Your role as a director will focus on the management and delivery of client engagements, often interacting at an executive level, as well as sales and practice development activities, resulting in increased value and efficiency. You will help mentor, coach, counsel your team members and help EY build an inclusive culture and high-performing teams. You will also work with our internal teams to identify, and author thought leadership and represent EY at different public forums and events covering your areas of expertise.
Key responsibilities
Drawing on your knowledge, skills, and experience, you will
- Establish valued relationships with external clients at the 'C level
- Solve our clients most difficult problems by bringing our solutions, strengths and points of view to become their trusted advisor
- Lead and support opportunity pursuits and practice development initiatives, proposals and thought leadership
- Deliver EAM projects successfully, specifically in Utility sector
- Deploy leading and industry standard EAM frameworks, helping effectively manage both the physical and non-physical assets through their entire lifecycle that maximise performance, productivity whilst reducing the total cost of operations / ownership
- Manage multiple EY colleagues across levels and client team members and mentor them as they progress in their own career
- Enhance our brand through strong external relationships across a network of existing and future clients
- Develop and lead partnerships with our alliance partners (e.g., SAP, IBM, Microsoft, etc.)
- Lead with confidence to actively promote emerging platforms and share knowledge and best practices
- Develop external eminence across the sub-capabilities in the utilities and EAM space
- Promote an effective forum for sharing utilities/EAM expertise
- Strengthen our collective EAM knowledge, helping resolve our clients EAM challenges
- Help grow our functional and technical consulting skills on utilities/EAM, there by contributing to the development of your own and team's acumen and helping resolve our clients utilities/EAM challenges.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Approximately 12+ years of work experience covering across EAM capabilities and/or leadership experience within Utilities with a proven record of transformational experience to achieve positive outcomes and change in the organization
- Prior Senior Manager/Director experience in consulting (Big Four, Strategy House or equivalent) or VP/Director experience in utilities/energy companies
- Expert knowledge and understanding of the Utility sector
- Expert knowledge of EAM domain including on asset life cycle management, asset effectiveness, asset automation, energy efficiency, etc. and knowledge of ESG and trends in the digital and emerging technology space
- Experience in implementing EAM Solutions (IBM, ERP related) or Digital related solutions
- Proven track record of leading large scale business development activities
- Willingness to relocate preferably to Saudi or eventually across GCC
- A bachelor's degree with the emphasis on Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or Logistics with strong academic records
- Experience managing staff on multiple projects and providing direction to team members
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ideally, you'll also have
- Preferably Arabic speaking
- Add on experience in supply chain – planning, inventory management, materials management, procurement, and quality, environmental, health and safety (QHSE) standards
- Experience with ISO 55001, asset management system framework and energy audits will be an advantage
- Represented your organization across leading forums as a qualified expert
- Certification in Lean, six sigma, TQM, KAIZEN will be an added/preferred advantage
