They are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP) to be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To manage the MEP/Infra related activities with minimum supervision on a high profile project and reporting directly to a Director
- Measuring, assessing and valuing variations and review on claims
- Final settlement claims and assist in contract close-out procedures
- Project valuation at forfeiture, interim and final accounts
- Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks, performing risk and value management and cost control.
- Advice on contractual and planning issues
- Propose implements and changes to the procurement and tendering procedure, when necessity arises.
- Identify areas of risk/scope and develop with the project team
- Manage and produce/take off Bill of Quants (BoQ)
- Produce control document when project secured
- Review proposals with Designers and select/agree subcontractor enquiry list
- Produce monthly status report including items listed above
- Lead procurement of subcontract works packages
- Organise and chair subcontract settlements
- Provide support in respect to legal/contract issues associated with the project
- Attend post tender/pre-qual interviews and report accordingly
Qualification & Requirements:
- Comprehensive 14- 18 years technical experience across all trades under Infra. related scope, and good experience of MEP trades, and extensive experience in weekly and monthly reporting cycles.
- Prior consultancy experience is required
- Use of Aconex, Oracle and Cost X IT Platforms an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and logical skills
