Job Purpose:
Jobs at this level are responsible for supporting the desk expeditors, including the responsibility to perform other, related tasks as directed by the Project procurement Manager. The Lead Project Expeditor provides functional leadership and are responsible for high complexity tasks. The department will depend on his persons management to provide small project responsibility.
Principal Accountabilities:
Directs the activities of the project expeditors in ensuring delivery of supplier material, equipment, and technical data to support the project schedule. Monitors their performance and provides advice and direction to ensure compliance with policy, procedure or guidelines.
Lead employees to meet the organization's expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.
Ensure that all activities are carried out as per the approved procedures/policies.
Represent EXPEDITING at Project Procurement review meetings and project management meetings (whenever required) to explain to members the problems (if any), and seek advice from them to initiate suitable action.
Exercise all efforts and resources necessary to achieve all EXPEDITING objectives on the running projects for delivery improvement.
Ensure that areas of potential problems will be individually highlighted and escalated to COMPANY senior management selectively as necessary.
Reviews material status reports, critical items reports, and Supplier Performance Database data to ensure that adequate accurate information is assembled and presented to the assigned project.
Ensure the full awareness and implementation of the requirements of the quality management system by all Expeditors.
Ensure the full awareness and implementation of the requirements of the environmental management system and the applicable environmental laws, regulations, codes, standards and other requirements by all Expeditors.
Take the initiative to resolve the problems or provide suggestions as how to resolve and/or prevent similar problems in the future
Compiles data needed to prepare the critical items reports, or other supplementary reports as required. Coordinates the accumulation of data from project expeditors and issues reports for the project management.
Participate in pre and post award meetings to review / discuss the preliminary schedules, progress report and potential problem areas that may impact the required delivery.
Prepare area expediting plan for a project.
Review Area EXPEDITING reports for content, completeness, and appropriateness and ensure follow-up action on items.
Participate in the overall VENDOR performance evaluation and evaluate the performance of VENDORS and take appropriate actions, whenever required.

Knowledge Skills and Experience:
B.Sc. in Engineering
9 years overall experience in similar field in Oil & Gas Industries.
Experience in techniques of expediting of materials and equipment. Working and process familiarity with Engineering, Planning and Scheduling, Construction, and Procurement practices and understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures.
Has a remarkable supervisory / management and communication skill, discipline and able to control the subordinates
Has considerable knowledge and experience in all inherent fabrication monitoring aspects and generic contract administration matters, VENDOR'S pre-qualifications and performance, capability in identifying potential delivery problems and other contractual problems with recommend remedial actions.
Must be an excellent face-to-face and telephone communicator.
Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations.
Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others
Work efficiently under pressure, always meets deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others
Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team
Able to effectively utilize a personal computer in day to day work, and utilize software programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, online system and similar programs.
Decisive, perceptive, analytical, has the talent for analyzing situations and reaching constructive recommended actions, responsive to the projects strategies and various situations.
