Our client is part of the Facilities and Administration industries and was founded with the mission of administering and conducting auctions of all types of assets in partnership with prominent auction houses throughout the world.
They are currently looking for an IT Projects Sr. Officer/Manager to be based in Bahrain.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals
- Devise and establish IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by board/management
- Analyze the business requirements of all departments to determine their technology needs
- Implement and oversee enterprise application projects, scoping requirements, development, validation, and ongoing maintenance activities
- Planning, developing, supervising and implementing IT mobile application and software projects
- Purchase efficient and cost-effective technological equipment and software
- Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features
- Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure applications/systems align with the organization's goals, as well as customer needs
- Inspect the use of technological equipment and software to ensure functionality and efficiency
- Carry out regular security and performance checks
- Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to management
- Control budget and report on expenditure
- Assist in building relationships with vendors and creating cost-efficient contracts
Qualification & Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in technology discipline or related field is ideal as well as significant IT experience.
- Postgraduate degree in a Technology discipline is preferred
- 2+ years in project management roles
- Experience within IT role is mandatory
- Experience working as part of a development team
- Sound knowledge of IT applications
- Experience in designing and building applications
- Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles
- Highly developed influencing, networking, and relationship skills
- Project management with strategic and tactical experience, and ability to create and adhere to a plan.
- Collaborative, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong presentation skills
