Overall purpose of the job:

To maintain and ensure the functional operation of organizational information management systems and produce management information reports.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Management Report System (SaaS > Excel > Power BI)

  • Create the monthly management reports in the software system within the required timeframes.
  • Monitor the submission of online reports and update status accordingly.
  • Transfer data from the reporting system to the template used to feed the Business Intelligence platform.
  • Download the Operations Reports from the system for processing.
  • Maintain users to ensure sufficient access to required reports

Operations Report System (SaaS > Excel > Filemaker > Power BI)

  • Enter the data from operations reports (Excel) into the required database.
  • Conduct Quality Assurance checks of data entered to ensure accuracy.
  • Run the data extraction script from the database to generate the output for the Business Intelligence application.

New Initiatives and Opportunities

  • Work with the Supervisor to improve and or develop other IM tools, processes, or systems.
  • Work with the Supervisor as required to generate reports and conduct analysis for various projects.
  • Explore opportunities to enable automation the existing processes.
  • Work with the security team to explore opportunities to improve tools for regional security analysis, in particular with GIS applications and analysis.

General

  • Work within the framework of MAG’s core values.
  • Work as part of a team and liaise with other departments to ensure effective communications across the organisation.
  • Ensure familiarity with and adhere to all MAG policies and procedures.
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the post as may be required.
  • Understand and uphold the standards outlined in MAG’s Safeguarding Framework, acting with due care and attention to safeguard the wellbeing of anyone that comes into contact with MAG’s work and reporting concerns if they do arise.

Qualification and core competencies:

Essential

  • Fluent English and Arabic language skills required
  • Advanced knowledge and competency using the Microsoft Office 365 applications, including MS Teams, MS Excel, MS Word etc.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment.
  • Relevant university qualification in the field of computer science or information management.

Desirable

  • Experience and knowledge with Power BI
  • Experience and knowledge of Flow / Power Automate
  • Experience and knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS
  • Experience and knowledge of database applications.
  • Experience and knowledge of Python or R

This position is based in MAG's Amman Office, and is open to Jordanian Nationals only.
