Ennismore Middle East & Asia Pacific, All Inclusive Collection – Global
You will be a business partner to the Ennismore Middle East and Asia-Pacific leadership as well to the All-Inclusive Chief Business Officer/Chief Operating Officer and Regional Managing Directors and General Managers, based in the Dubai Office. A strong hands-on leader, you oversee the hotels finance teams and end-to-end finance operations, including accurate reporting of all hotel operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, constant improvement of procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc projects and requests. You work with hotels’ General Managers, Finance Leaders and other departments (as relevant) to constantly maximise efficiencies and control throughout the business.
Responsibilities
Financial performance
- Drives regular review and analysis of hotels’ financial performance, providing Management and ownership with relevant reports and insights into commercial and financial performance.
- Identifies risks and opportunities, and drives the implementation of corrective actions as needed.
- Ensures an appropriate focus on balance sheet items, with regular reviews of Accounts Receivable, Inventory and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Leads regular financial reforecasting / budgeting processes, working with all relevant stakeholders across the organisation (hotel General Manager, People team, Finance, Sales etc…)
- Provides support on specific topics and projects as needed, for example new development projects, commercial negotiations with landlords, JV partners and advisors…
- New openings – Lead recruitment of hotel Director of Finance and ensure proper definition and management of pre-opening budget.
Team management
- Helps build and maintain a high performing, highly regarded finance team through effective performance management, coaching, motivation and recruitment.
- Oversees hotels’ Directors of Finance and their teams, fostering a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement and integrity.
- Onboards and mentors any new financial leader joining the business.
- Coordinates training and skills development programs to ensure that capabilities always match business needs.
Compliance
- Drives implementation and rollout of robust and effective accounting and financial processes in the hotels, aligned with applicable Company policies and local legislation; proactively identifies risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Develops a culture of self-assessment, leads implementation of internal audit programmes and assists hotels in implementing corrective actions following internal / external audits.
- Defines and implements delegations of authority (DoA) in the hotels and ensures correct validation of financial commitments on behalf of the hotel owners, according to the terms of the HMA and the DoA.
- Ensures compliance of commercial terms with the provisions of the management contracts (HMA) signed between the operator and the owner.
Your experience and skills include:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or QBE, with strong technical accounting knowledge, including USALI standards.
- Significant experience as Country/Regional Director of Finance or similar position in a large international hospitality group.
- Good business acumen: thinks strategically and commercially, understands key performance drivers within the business and is able to translate a strategic vision into actions.
- Strong interpersonal skills: a good communicator, strong at building effective relationships, and able to communicate and influence at different levels of the organisation (Senior Leadership, General Managers, Finance Leaders, other functions…).
- Hands-on, self-starter – gets the job done; proactive, takes initiative, always looking to improve processes, systems and performance.
- Strong experience with Excel and reconciliation skills.
- Very good knowledge of hotel systems, especially SUN, OPERA and Material Control.
- Ideally has a second language (Arabic, Turkish) but not essential
