You will be part of the Market Services Europe organization that is responsible to deliver high quality OSS Assurance and Fulfilment Solutions to our Nokia CSP and Enterprise customers. Our Local Delivery Organization team for Europe is focusing on customer facing project activities like Technical Management and Solution Architecture and partnering with a Nokia back-office services organization in charge of deployment, development, integration and testing. A key focus is to leverage next gen tools and automation to improve productivity, as well as to optimize delivery models to be competitive and efficient.

As Technical Manager, you will technical lead the delivery of NCOM solutions with Nokia customers in the Europe region. NCOM is typically used for automation solution for the 5G Core networks with VNF/CNF lifecycle management as well as orchestrator for Nokia CICD solution. In this role, you will have an opportunity to experience and work with NCOM as part of Nokia Cloud management portfolio, part of Orchestration solution with NOrC (Nokia Orchestration Center) as well as part of 5G Slicing solution. As the Technical Manager for NCOM you have the opportunity to help achieve Operators’ ambition for largely automated mobile core and packet core networks.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Have overall responsibility for the technical success of all NCOM project functions (prepare, plan, execute, monitor, control and closing)
  • Support the project manager by providing insight into NCOM technical planning and execution issues and act as the primary technical contact to the customer.
  • Lead the NCOM technical project team through the entire duration of the project and serve as a principal technical interface to internal/external partners participating in the project
  • Plan allocation of NCOM work packages and resources to ensure all project deliverables are delivered in a timely manner
  • Actively participate in the review of all NCOM project gates deliverables and ensure all project deliverables created are of high quality

Your skills and experience

  • Solid OSS domain experience with engagement in cloud orchestration domain and solutions
  • Technical Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of network services and technologies (4G/5G network architectures, etc.)
  • General cloud knowledge and experience e.g., Docker Container technologies, Kubernetes, Openstack, etc.
  • Excellent skills in customer engagement and interactions with operator’s technical stakeholders
  • Excellent skills in technical co-ordination, in task assignment and follow-up as well as in building efficient delivery project team
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Bachelor’s degree in telecommunications or related field

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Nokia NCOM product knowledge
  • General knowledge of agile project delivery models and CICD/DevOps tool chain
  • Service/Resource Orchestration
  • CaaS platforms, Kubernetes and Docker
  • Management applications for VNFs and CNFs
