MEA CSA Partner Technology Manager

The Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) Partner Technology Manager (PTM) role is a master class Partner and Business Transformation implementor and leader. The PTM plays a critical role in managing a team of CSAs focused on our core Azure Business and Application Innovation business. With their team they drive impact with Partner Development Managers, Partner Technology Strategists, Global Partner Solutions (GPS) leadership, local Microsoft Middle East Africa (MEA) Customer Segment leadership and Partners to continually raise the bar on how we lead and transform our Partner and MEA business and deliver needed MEA outcomes.The PTM gains credibility because of their deep technical expertise and experiences in their solution specialization and Partners. Their ability to create and lead a high-performing team through strong hiring, talent retention, as well as coaching and mentoring is foundational to the success the PTM needs to drive through their team.
The solution capacity this team builds is the foundational execution engine with our Partners that enables our Microsoft field teams to land needed revenue objectives monthly, quarterly and for the fiscal year. Core charter for this role is to not only transform Partners and their solutions to deliver Partner Capacity and Capability, it also needs to ground strategy and approach in what's needed from Sales outcome perspective from Microsoft in MEA.The Partner Technology Manager stands out because of their capability to play a dual role to lead the Partner technical dimension of the business and also influence our Microsoft Field to be a key stakeholder in how Microsoft transforms with our Partners. This role needs to influence Partners to build transformational practices and influence how our Microsoft local leadership and community prioritizes and executes in Microsoft MEA.

This role drives the prioritization for the Partners we build with to deliver needed capacity and capability and Microsoft MEA business outcomes.

Influence

  • Partners: Acts as the voice of the partner for Technical Decision Makers (TDMs) and/or Business Decision Makers (BDM) at various levels, including CxO.Influencing Partners to drive accelerated and differentiated transformational roadmaps and outcomes with Microsoft
    • Microsoft: Playing leadership role with the MEA Field and LT to accelerate joint transformational priorities and prioritize engagement
    • Best Practices: Proactively seeks out best practices from others and implements them. Establishes thought leadership to build best practices, prove them out and influence adoption
    • Leadership capability to drive virtual and extended team outcomes across geos and business.

High Value Resource Leverage

    • Strong capability to leverage the full extent of all Microsoft Resources from MEA GPS, MEA Field, WW Engineering, WW ISV & Services Teams, WW Business Groups to advance and amplify strategic initiatives and launch new initiatives to deliver on MEA outcomes
    • Leveraging the matrix of people and leaders at MEA level and WW to accelerate outcomes
    • Provides thought leadership and guidance to their immediate team, partners, and the broader community
    • Allocates resources, manages budget, and provides guidance to their immediate team and partners to create and implement the enablement plans to deliver transformational practices. Drives teams to contribute to innovations to accelerate meeting goals for capacity.

Market Intelligence

    • Deliver unique market insights from the team and Partner business across countries that inform Transformational impact priorities
    • Thought leadership through deep collaboration across the core business the PTM manages and from stakeholder engagement across Worldwide, Other Microsoft HQs, Local MEA stakeholders. Insights on market opportunity and compete
    • Acts as the voice of the partner and internal advocate by providing insights, feedback, and challenges from the partner to internal teams (e.g., product groups, engineers) across all levels of the organization. Drives action to ensure that internal teams understand and respond to insights.

Ensuring Success

    • Orchestrates a wide, complex range of components for projects/programs within large, high-stakes Partners. Ability to drive execution rigor across a variety of solution areas sets timelines and milestones, and establishes rigor for the team to track progress toward objectives leverages industry expertise and establishes technical credibility with partners to drive the project agenda.
    • Collaborates across Global Partner Solutions and Microsoft MEA to realize the execution results with a north star of the end business result Microsoft MEA and Partners need to realize.

required/minimum qualifications :

  • industry experience. 10+ years of related experience in technology business solutions development, cloud / infrastructure technologies, project management, technical sales, and/or technical account management.
  • communication and collaboration. exceptional interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills strong executive presence, and the ability to hold tdm and bdm discussions, including cxo level.
  • attract, develop and retain talent. experience in mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning ability to identify growth opportunities, build development plans with direct reports, and conduct development discussions.
  • trusted advisor. proven track record of building deep sales relationships with cxos and practice building executives in various partner types such as isvs, msps, and sis, and advises on solutions and positions microsoft offerings.
  • partner & industry insights. deep understanding of digital transformation business drivers, cloud platforms, emerging computing trends and their impact on partner practice building opportunities ability to ensure partner is challenged in considering alternatives and adapting new strategies.
  • strategy formulation. understanding of business strategies and outcomes that technology can support, leading the adoption of technologies by plotting the strategic, long-term vision of partners ability to anticipate both technical blockers that have potential to arise, as well as envisioning roadmaps on new and groundbreaking capabilities.
  • differentiated value proposition. ability to motivate team to anticipate competitive technologies and industry trends to drive success ability to guide team in creating and maintaining a vision with business and technology solution scenarios and services.
  • education & thought leadership. experience in providing guidance to immediate team and partners on creating enablement plans to build solutions/offers/practices, as well as providing strategic input on microsoft technologies, digital transformation, and their context in the competitive landscape. ability to provide guidance to the team on partner technical sales readiness and securing initial wins for newly developed solutions, services, and/or practices.
  • solution/practice/offer development. expertise in building solutions into the partner ecosystem to enable partners to sell to end-customers. problem-solving mentality, leveraging internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow-through with partners.
