Manager – Credit Review
Job Description
Job Purpose:
Carry out credit reviews across the Corporate Banking to ensure risk exposure is within GB&rsquos appetite for risk.
Accountabilities:
- Conduct Credit Analysis and prepare Credit Memorandum
Ensure correct spreading of financials in the Risk rating System, conduct financial and credit analysis of the borrower and prepare Credit Memorandum in the approved format
- Independent Credit Assessment
Conduct comprehensive credit assessment of proposals for presentation to Credit Committees.
- Quality Control
Ensure the correctness of the risk rating and conduct quality checks on credit applications to ensure they meet requirements of credit committees, policies, etc.
- Support Industry studies
Support industry reviews that facilitate delivery of independent credit risk assessments
- Control reports/follow-up
Carry out effective follow-up with Relationship Managers on risk related reports/MIS for allocated accounts.
Education /Qualifications:
Professional Accounting/Finance/Banking qualifications
Knowledge:
Knowledge of the Banking industry, risk management and all regulations governing the banking business e.g. CBK, Basel II, III, etc
Experience:
Up to 4 years of experience in the banking industry, of which at least 2 years in credit or risk management
