Plan International Jordan is established in 2016 and has programmes in Azraq refugee camp and host communities.
Mubaderoon
2
aims to contribute to the economic integration and social inclusion of youth, women and refugees in the poorest communities of the project regions. The target group for Mubaderoon 2 is Syrian refugees and host communities. The project will be implemented through integrated components:
Strengthening the expansion of existing social enterprises and the creation of new Social Enterprises and Social Enterprise Initiatives through capacity building, mentoring and financial support.
Ecosystem actors work to improve the framework conditions for SEs in Jordan by influencing policy and lobbying initiatives.
The project will be implemented through project consortium-based: Plan International Jordan (consortium lead), The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN), JoWomenomics (JoWo) and Durrat AlManal (DMDT). PIJO and its partners will be distributing up to 122 grants. Through the granting and capacity building component, the project aims to support and grow 122 SEs, homebased businesses, start-ups and ideas, ensuring that along with receiving financial support, they have technical training and support to build their knowledge and capacities. legal consultancy will be a critical element to train the grantees on how to start, run and close a business, along with the process of registering their business if they are not yet registered or want to register.
The legal advisor will provide his/her legal consultancy to 122 enterprises, in different sectors, across a 20-month period. These businesses will be implemented simultaneously in four locations: Amman, Ajloun, Al Karak and Irbid, at a roughly equally distribution per area.
SCOPE OF WORK
The legal consultant will:
– Deliver an orientation session for the grantees on legal systems and procedures in Jordan to both register their business and raise their awareness on legal matters pertaining to their business (from starting to closing 4 Training in 4 locations)
– Manage the review procedures and signing of the contracts with beneficiaries for all enterprises requiring registration and provide ad hoc legal advice throughout the process of signing the contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
– Certified Legal Consultant with valid certification and accreditation
– Experience in the entrepreneurship in the Jordanian legal framework
– Excellent communication, negotiation and networking skills
– Has proven record in business registration in Jordan (multiple sectors)
DELIVERABLES:
Timeframe of the consultancy will be 4 months in total but will be divided into two rounds of granting cycles and follow up will be based on an ad hoc basis, starting December, 2022 – Jan, 2023 and ending in Aug 2024. Please refer to the table below for details on deliverables:
