The RoleAspenTech is a leading supplier of Industrial-AI technology software that optimizes process manufacturing – including oil and gas, petroleum, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and other industries that manufacture and produce products from a chemical process. With integrated aspenONE solutions, process manufacturers can implement best practices for optimizing their engineering, manufacturing and supply chain operations. As a result, AspenTech customers are better able to increase capacity, improve margins, reduce costs and become more energy efficient. In addition, the launch of the Asset Performance Management (APM) suite supports corporate reliability initiatives, taking an analytics-driven approach to asset availability. It combines deep process modeling expertise with real time big data to extend asset life and effectiveness. APM enables you to accurately predict and eliminate the root cause of all failures, so the only downtime you experience is the downtime you plan.
We are seeking to fill a position of Field Marketing Manager or Specialist. Seniority of the role will commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. The position will be based in Bahrain. This is the primary marketing role to support the company’s product and brand strategy through the delivery of global initiatives and regional marketing across the industry verticals and target segments. The role has tactical responsibility for the execution of all marketing activities such as conferences/ seminars, virtual events, webinars and localization, lead gen. The Field Marketing Manager will be required to work closely with the Regional Sales and Solution Consulting teams, as well as with other regional marketing and the global corporate teams (i.e. Industry Marketing, Product Marketing, Corporate Programs, Corporate Communications, Marketing Communications etc). This position reports to the Director, Field Marketing – EUA,MEA Regions.
Your Impact
- Manage and execute integrated field marketing programs which directly support the company's go-to-market strategy and sales initiatives in Middle East and Africa (MEA)
- Responsible for all MEA marketing programs.
- Work closely with MEA marketing to ensure alignment with MEA marketing goals and objectives.
- Collaborate extensively with the Industry Marketing, Product Marketing and Corporate Marketing teams to leverage corporate resources and industry expertise.
- This includes developing, planning, managing and executing:
- In-person seminars/events, virtual events and hybrid events to drive strong customer engagement in the local markets.
- Account-based marketing activities such as workshops, customer relationship events, customer success stories generation and promotion, etc.
- Relevant industry conferences. This includes sourcing and qualifying, negotiating optimum participation that provides best value for investment to increase brand awareness, thought leadership and extend our reach.
- Work with the Digital marketing lead to support activities such as webinars online community development and digital lead generation.
- Manage Field Marketing budgets and ensure the activities meet marketing objectives and ROI goals.
- Manage the process of qualifying and tracking leads and prospects generated from marketing activities in the sales/marketing database and disseminate leads to sales for follow-up.
- Has solid experience in managing and growing and adapting customer database based on business focus.
- Has extensive experience in monitoring and managing marketing analytics leading to optimized program effectiveness and outreach. Track and measure program objectives and ROI, analyze effectiveness of the event, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Be constantly on the look out for new marketing strategies and tactics that can be applied to improve Field Marketing effectiveness.
- Manage marketing material requirements for MEA, including localization of corporate marketing collaterals, customer communications and shipping and inventory control of such material.
- Ensure that localized or locally generated contents and materials are consistent with AspenTech brand guidelines, messaging and positioning.
- Negotiate contracts, manage relationships with existing vendors and source new vendors as necessary. Facilitate communication of field sales requirements back to Corporate Marketing and Product Marketing.
What You'll Need
- Solid experience working in multinational corporations.
- 7-10 years of direct experience in high tech software or related industry in the energy, petrochemical or process industry.
- Communications/event management/event marketing background mandatory.
- BA/BS in business or marketing or equivalent.
- Excellent ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbal and written in English.
- Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns using tactics that include events, webinars, digital campaigns and social media.
- Experience working closely with sales and account teams to develop collaborative marketing plans.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills in in-person and virtual events.
- A self-motivated individual contributor who can work independently.
- Proven ability to prioritize, plan, manage and execute multiple projects/events simultaneously and deliver high-quality deliverables on-time. Understanding and knowledge of the business culture and environment of MEA market (Process Industries preferred).
- Has working knowledge of Eloqua (or other Marketing Automation platforms), Salesforce.com, Webex, CMS (Content Management System) and etc.
- Experience and knowledge of virtual event platforms and digital marketing technologies.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

- A strong team player willing to collaborate with corporate & regional teams, while managing MEA field marketing activities.
- Agility and adaptability to navigate change with flexibility, openness and a willingness to respond to changing markets and work processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build up rapport with key stakeholders including regional sales teams.
- Fast learner to be able to assimilate onboarding resources quickly and get things off the ground right away. Able to work extended hours and take evening calls as needed.
- Able to travel for work – about 25% of time.
