The Transition Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. May have management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people
Key Roles and responsibilities
- Drive project management and execution of critical activities that would be required post LD1 for Bahrain market
- Key responsibilities would include divestiture related support for:
- Cheque clearing / Payments Processing
- Settlements & Reconciliation
- Non-transferring & Closed A/C handling
- Records Management
- Ops Reporting Obligations
- Support for customer handling of non-transferred Citi-owned accounts including Customer requests, Complaints, queries & Handling of legal cases & court representation
- Handling of closed account including unclaimed monies, complaints & associated queries
- Build & foster collaborative relationship with the stakeholders ( internal & external) sharing thought leadership and embedding principles of excellence and continuous improvement in process design & strategy
- Maintain strong culture of control and conduct and ensure risk is managed proactively
- Drive continuous process improvements, identifying opportunities for increasing productivity, efficiency, accuracy and improving controls
- Leads the identification and drives resolution of issues. Directs the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
- Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
Qualifications
The ideal Candidate would meet the following requirements:-
- ~5 years or more of experience in one or a combination of the following:Project Management, Consumer Ops businesses and implementation, ICG & GCB experience
- Strong stakeholder management, networking and relationship management skills.
- Strong partnership skills with ability to build & foster collaborative relationship with the stakeholders ( internal & external)
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to operate successfully in an unstructured environment
- Strong financial aptitude coupled with proven quantitative, analytical and strategic planning skills.
