American International University –
Job Description:
The Campus Cashier provides on-site cashiering and related financial services to students, faculty, and staff. Responsibilities include accepting payments for tuition, or services provided by the University, responding to general questions regarding account information, or resolving standard customer service issues. Due to the cash handling responsibilities of the position, the work is highly structured with little to no deviation, and with strict adherence to university policy procedures to safeguard University revenue. Cashiers also assist a high volume of students at the beginning of each semester, which continually creates a fast-pace, high stress environment, and they are required to process each transaction expediently and accurately.
Cashier responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to:

Receives and processes tuition payments enters payments into computerized recording system adjusts student accounts edits, updates, and corrects entries as required.

Handle cash, card, or check transactions with customers.
Ensure invoice is correct, Issue change, receipts, or refunds.
Count money in cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change

Reconciles daily transactions prepares bank deposits and maintains petty cash funds

Point of Sale Systems (POS)

Greet customers when entering or leaving establishment
Keep reports of transactions and submit to supervisor / manager on daily basis.

Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge of point-of-sale systems
Communicate and work effectively in a multicultural environment

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelors degree.
Knowledge of business English, preferably Arabic speaking
Skill in performing mathematical calculations quickly and accurately, relevant computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
