Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyzing and planning as well as executing as required to ensure reliability of plant processes and effectively manage safety, process, and environmental risks.
Analyzing and planning as well as executing as required development and training targets with a focus on OE, driving core competencies, and improving capabilities.
Analyzing and planning as well as executing as required to maximize advantaged feedstock draw through increased reliability and capacity utilization while controlling costs and efficiently leveraging site resources.
Analyzing and planning as well as executing as required effective management of capital and in a focused manner, capturing incremental opportunities and making recommendations for investing in new growth to maximize advantaged feedstock.
Must be a role model for safety and believe we can "Work safely or not at all” and embrace the Tenets of Operation as a basis for action and decision making
Understands and promotes the concept of proactive safety and takes personal responsibility to seek out “at risk” behaviors and conditions to positively contribute to the overall goal of zero incidents.
Handles and support MOC’s and small projects and turnaround, review operating reliability and data analysis as associated with rotating and fixed equipment’s
Assists in implementing Chevron Best Practices Reliability Process into the maintenance and engineering function.
Develops and maintains repair and operating procedures and instructions for mechanical equipment.
Develops maintenance training process for personnel.
Provides special repair procedures and work direction to maintenance personnel. During construction, works with plant construction personnel by providing input, problem solving and ensuring procedures and practices are in place for safe and reliable long-term operation.
Prepares and updates replacement and inspection schedules for all major mechanical equipment.
Supports mechanical reliability programs and ITPM process to identify gaps and improve overall effectiveness of both individual and department efforts.
Evaluates all Mechanical aspects of engineering to ensure all project objectives including safety, technical correctness, budget, constructability, schedule, maintainability, and operability are met
Exhibits good environmental stewardship and practice to meet regulatory compliance.
Assists with resolution and plan for obsolescence issues concerning the facilities mechanical equipment.
Participates in development of maintenance and reliability programs and procedures
Proposes optimization of and lifecycle planning for mechanical equipment.
Maintains an effective rapport with Maintenance, Operations, and Project Engineering groups.
Assists with development of the annual budget. Prepares routinely analyses and reports expenditures to support budget compliance.
Monitors department KPI to help identify gaps and improve response
Provide field support, and participate in verifications, commissioning and start up
Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.
Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.
Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.
