About Our Client
Our client is a fast-growing Logistics/Last Mile Delivery business based in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia. They are seeing tremendous growth, and looking the hire a forward-thinking and commercially astute Head of Technology.
Job Description
The Head of Technology will drive the organisation towards achieving its potential in terms of technological innovation and capabilities. He/she will be responsible for:

Setting the technology strategy in line with the organisation's wider goals and objectives
Building and managing a Technology and Software Engineering team
Developing proprietary customer-facing products and solutions, which will deliver an outstanding customer experience
Identifying areas of improvement and automation within the internal technology architecture
Sourcing external off-the-shelf solutions that will improve Operations
Being a trusted advisor to the MD, and the in-house expert on all matters regarding Technology within the Logistics/Last Mile Delivery sector
Working closely with other departments such as Operations, PMO, Finance, Sales & Marketing, etc.
Vendor selection and management
Eventually monetising some of the proprietary products

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:

10+ years of Technology leadership experience
Experience developing proprietary technology solutions and digital products within the Logistics/Last Mile Delivery/Ecommerce Fulfillment industries
At least a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study
Managed software development/engineering teams in the past
Strong stakeholder management skills, and a commercial mindset
A track record in managing teams
Ideally worked in a start-up environment or greenfield projects in the past
