Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION
As a data consultant, you will provide consultative guidance on data management and data governance-related principles within the company, while also inputting on external client proposals when necessary.
You'll add strategic value to the business, focus on joining up the necessary stakeholders across departments to address gaps and pain-points in data journeys
Responsibilities:

Design & implement the data management framework and operating model and roles and responsibilities.
Design & implement all aspects of data management projects, including data governance, data quality, metadata management, data warehousing, data integration, data migration, business intelligence, master data management, and analytics
Conduct requirement gathering, business analysis and any data architecture activities with the data management programs
Participate in the data maturity assessment sessions and gap analysis.
Participate in alignment with EA teams and data strategy across the organization.
Coordinate with the project teams and others to ensure that data standards and models align with the overall enterprise architecture and applicable standards.
define roles and responsibilities related to data management, develop related processes and procedures, and establish a common understanding and visibility of all agency data assets.
Develop a strong working relationship with the appropriate business users and provide business-impact-driven analysis and communicate results to stakeholders.
Research and make recommendations about training, equipment, and technology to improve data use
Create automated data reports to inform business units, including documentation, toolkits, and FAQ guides

QUALIFICATIONS

7-9 years experience in data management and consultation
Strong record of implementation for data governance & quality projects and establishing DGOs (Data Governance Office)
Deep knowledge in data management, data warehousing, data integration, data migration, business intelligence, analytics, master data management, and project delivery across advisory and technical delivery projects
Strong client-facing experience in a consultation role
Extensive experience developing detailed data governance workflows, operating models, and organizational structures.
DAMA Certification is highly desirable
Experienced in data maturity assessment models and methodologies.
Expert in Meta-data management (Data Classifications, Glossary, and data lineage)
Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design.
Exposure on micro services
Fluent in English & Arabic
