BASIC FUNCTION
To oversee and manage the commercial department, and the team members involved in the company’s projects and create bids for new projects, identify the risks and rewards of a project and collaborate with other departments to complete a project.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identifying opportunities to expand business through mergers, partnerships, and new markets
- Developing, planning, and implementing commercial plans and strategies
- Taking responsibility for the financial management of projects
- Developing accurate project bids with the help of other departments
- Agreeing to timescales, costs, and resources for a project
- Creating plans for each stage of a project
- Negotiating with suppliers and contractors
- Constantly monitoring progress, quality, and costs
- Reporting regularly to executives about project progress
- Oversee the contracts, bids, documentation, sales department, and purchase department
- Supporting the Sales and Marketing department by conducting an analysis of commercial opportunities
- Develop, plan and implement commercial plans and strategies
- Understand the requirements of existing customers
- Track, measure, and analyze commercial metrics using KPIs
- Manage and track expenditures, financial goals, and budgets
- Conduct thorough market research
- Build relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Support and collaborate with senior managers and executives
- Develop and maintain a database of new tenders, opportunities, and clients within the region and ensure that the company is registered / pre-qualified
- Communicate and liaise with 3rd party businesses, i.e. Supply chain and etc. (when needed)
المهارات
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's Degree in Business or Project Management or any related field
· +5 years of experience as a commercial director or in any related field
