BASIC FUNCTION

To oversee and manage the commercial department, and the team members involved in the company’s projects and create bids for new projects, identify the risks and rewards of a project and collaborate with other departments to complete a project.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifying opportunities to expand business through mergers, partnerships, and new markets
  • Developing, planning, and implementing commercial plans and strategies
  • Taking responsibility for the financial management of projects
  • Developing accurate project bids with the help of other departments
  • Agreeing to timescales, costs, and resources for a project
  • Creating plans for each stage of a project
  • Negotiating with suppliers and contractors
  • Constantly monitoring progress, quality, and costs
  • Reporting regularly to executives about project progress
  • Oversee the contracts, bids, documentation, sales department, and purchase department
  • Supporting the Sales and Marketing department by conducting an analysis of commercial opportunities
  • Develop, plan and implement commercial plans and strategies
  • Understand the requirements of existing customers
  • Track, measure, and analyze commercial metrics using KPIs
  • Manage and track expenditures, financial goals, and budgets
  • Conduct thorough market research
  • Build relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Support and collaborate with senior managers and executives
  • Develop and maintain a database of new tenders, opportunities, and clients within the region and ensure that the company is registered / pre-qualified
  • Communicate and liaise with 3rd party businesses, i.e. Supply chain and etc. (when needed)

QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's Degree in Business or Project Management or any related field

· +5 years of experience as a commercial director or in any related field
