• A Senior Design HSE Engineer will normally be the most senior engineer of his discipline on a particular

project with full authority to act for that discipline when delegated to do so by the Discipline Technical

Authority.

• Design HSE is the fundamental discipline which ensures a safe process plant design.

• His work involves producing documents that satisfy the Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards and

Regulations.

• To act as Lead Design HSE engineer on projects and proposals with responsibility for technical quality and

meeting program and cost targets. To supervise and/or carry out Design HSE work on such projects.

• To plan for adequate resources and to monitor and report design progress and man-hour usage to the

project management team.

• To work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary project delivery team, through proactive liaison with other

disciplines and to ensure integration of Design HSE into the overall engineering design.

• To support client to get environment permits from government

• To offer advice and support to colleagues and subordinates on development needs taking into account work

المهارات

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or Process Safety engineering Management preferred.

• 10 years plus' experience in the oil & gas sector in the field of Design HSE.

• The candidate should ideally have experience of working on small to medium FEED and EPC/EPCM

Brownfield projects in the Onshore petrochemical, Oil & Gas Sector as well as large size Greenfield projects.

• Experience of Offshore projects is desirable but not essential.

• Design Health and Safety Management Plan

• Able to present technical case to client, discuss and get approval

• Knowledge to Saudi Arabia and Bahrain environment Regulatory is plus

• Knowledge Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards and Caltex Standards is plus

• Working knowledge of CCPS guidelines, NFPA, API and IEC standards related to technical safety

• Risk identification & management

• Fire, explosion & toxic gas consequence modeling

• Management of external consultants including QRA, Fire & Explosion Risk Assessment, Dispersion Modeling,

Building Risk Assessment, Noise, Environmental Impact Assessment etc

• ALARP Demonstration and CBA Techniques Human Factors Engineering

• Perform HAZOP, HAZID, consequence modeling and SIL assessment

• Develop Emergency escape route Analysis/ Layouts

• Develop hazardous area classification using API 500, API505, NFPA 497 & IP 15

• Develop HSE Philosophies

• Develop Safety Signage Specifications & Layouts

• Active and Passive Fire protection Design knowledge

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Effective communicator

• Good technical writing skills
