Our food delivery business works with over 27,000 brands and almost 50,000 branches, while our q-commerce concept, talabat mart, now delivers groceries to customers in Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman Qatar, and the UAE in 30 minutes or less!

Our #techforgood program allows our customers a safe and convenient way to contribute to important causes in their community through donating to local and international charities directly on talabat with a focus on food insecurity in the region. Since its inception in 2020, we have facilitated the donation of well over 1 million meals to those in need, as well as donated over $1.5 million to charity with the help of our partners and customers. talabat is part of Delivery Hero, the global leader in online food delivery and q-commerce.

Role Summary:

Responsible for developing and growing business with partner accounts while maintaining excellent relationship with them. Negotiate agreements/contracts to grow topline, manage day to day operations, plan promotion initiatives, competitor and market analysis to look for areas of opportunity. Rationalize and uplift assortment while controlling the availability and out of stocks. Prepare relevant business reviews and reports to share internally and externally.

What's On Your Plate?

  • Conduct joint business plans and reviews with accounts to identify business opportunities and align with them on the roadmap of growing the revenue and market share.
  • Grow topline, maximize revenue and work on operations to increase efficiency.
  • Clearly communicate the progress of Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide excellent service and support in order to build strong relationship and resolve operational issues between key accounts and the company.
  • Ensure right assortment and strive to uplift it by adding promotion mix.
  • Prepare reports on Commercial Metrics, Operational Metrics, Product Mix, Marketing Campaigns etc.
  • Agreement and contract negotiation- building new commercial relationships by renewing the existing contracts and renegotiating them to increase revenue and profit.
  • Support cross functional teams in delivering the strategy by facilitating communication of lessons learned, resolving urgent issues, lining up appropriate group level support and deploying processes & tools.
  • Advertisement sales: Acquiring and maintaining pictures from key accounts, find ways to generate Non-Commission Revenue.
  • Encourage vendors to subscribe for the online payment gateway, liaise with finance department to ensure smooth business transactions.
  • Coordinate with the vendors to ensure maintain smooth operations and support during urgent issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including:
    • Closed sales
    • Follow-up activities
    • Sales expense report
    • Increased sales report after placing promotion, voucher and coupons
    • Account management report

What Did We Order?

  • Bachelor’s Degree within Business Administration or any other related field
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience within Sales/Account Management, preferably FMCG
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be flexible in working
  • Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus.
  • Communication skills (Written and Verbal)
  • Excel Skills
